And on that note: The calm before the storm. At an annual meeting among the top military leaders in the country Trump announced that it was "....the calm before the storm." When asked what he meant he said "You'll see." No one knows if he was referring to bombing Iran, North Korea, or maybe Niger. Or maybe just a funny Trump joke. A good way to keep our allies off guard and distract the American public.
Trump likes to speak in vague innuendo. Another example was his 'maybe we'll have another chance' remark during his hapless speech in front of the wall of fallen CIA agents. Trump: “Now I said it for economic reasons, But if you think about it, Mike, if we kept the oil, you probably wouldn’t have ISIS because that’s where they made their money in the first place, so we should have kept the oil. But, okay, maybe we’ll have another chance.”
He seems to be embracing his reputation now. Like he thinks people are afraid him and don't just mock and pity him. So if he says things like that people will think "oh he just might do it please don't we will talk". The old good cop bad cop and he's counting on his cabnit to be good cop. Whatever you say little Donnie,. Time and time again you show a thin skin and lack of backbone (twitter tantrums). The world does not respect you. They might fear you have the hubris and lack of understanding of consequences to blow it up but that's not the same thing.

Trump Administration Rolls Back Birth Control Mandate by ROBERT PEAR, REBECCA R. RUIZ and LAURIE GOODSTEIN OCT. 6, 2017 https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/06/us/politics/trump-contraception-birth-control.html
Now the leaders and boards of corporations can impose their religious views on their employees by denying them healthcare. This violates the government's requirement respecting the establishment of religion as the government is now forcing employees to follow the religious tenets of their employers. Bizarro world.
Some Companies Can Refuse To Cover Contraception, Supreme Court Says Bill Chappell June 30, 2014 10:19 AM ET http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2014/06/30/326926331/companies-can-refuse-to-cover-contraception-supreme-court-says excerpt: "The Supreme Court has ruled that family owned and other closely held companies can opt out of the Affordable Care Act's provisions for no-cost prescription contraception in most health insurance if they have religious objections. The owners of the Hobby Lobby chain of arts and crafts stores and those of another closely held company, Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp., had objected on the grounds of religious freedom. The ruling affirms a Hobby Lobby victory in a lower court and gives new standing to similar claims by other companies."
Trump Is Filling Court Seats With Anti-LGBTQ, Anti-Abortion Judges “Trump’s speed in nominating judges has been perhaps the most successful aspect of his presidency.” By Jennifer Bendery 10/07/2017 11:42 pm ET https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-judicial-nominee-abortion-rights_us_59d67a63e4b046f5ad96e117 excerpt: "He’s also got more court seats to fill. He inherited a whopping 108 court vacancies when he became president ― double the number of vacancies Obama inherited when he took office. That’s largely due to Republicans’ years-long strategy of denying votes to Obama’s court picks to keep those seats empty for a future GOP president to fill. It worked. If Trump’s current judicial nominees are a preview of the kinds of judges he plans to nominate in the coming years, prepare for a significantly more socially conservative group of people shaping the nation’s laws."

Trump's latest immigration policy demands. It still includes U.S. taxpayer funding for his wall, the one he said Mexico would pay for. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/10/08/trump-administration-releases-hard-line-immigration-principles-threatening-deal-on-dreamers/
Pence uses tax payer money to fly to Indiana for an NFL game and then walks out after several 49's kneel during the anthem. Trump claims he ordered Pence to leave: Apparently neither man understands a peaceful, lawful protest about racial inequalities.
Job growth slows under Trump, no effect from hurricanes as the data was compiled before they hit. Unemployment rate up to 4.4% for first time in 16 years.
Trump told Pence to do the walk-out in his home state of Indiana and he did it. More reality show theatrics. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/08/us/politics/pence-anthem-colts.html Trump should consider doing another one of his circle jerk meetings while the national anthem is playing in the background.
Scott Puritt, the head of the EPA (that's the Environmental Protection Agency for those of you who don't know), will withdraw from the Clean Power Plan Tuesday. The Clean Power Plan was put in place to cut carbon dioxide emissions and thus lesson the greenhouse gas effect of coal fired power plants on the environment. But, as Puritt and Trump don't believe in science....while the rest of the world marches into the 21st century and pursues safe, renewable power sources, the U.S. backslides into the 19th. Reportedly (by me) Puritt's next move will be to ban diesel locomotives and reintroduce coal fired steam engines. Choo! Choo! Meanwhile he's still under investigation.
Even worse! People on the Left told us to -hate- Hillary because she gave a speech to a Wall Street bank. That made her forbidden and deserving of no respect and anyone cool would only consider Bernie Sanders. California Governor Jerry Brown has it right. He says this demonizing of anyone who merely talks to a business group is being peddeled by extremists with no real plan. Those extremists do nothing but condemn the system, and have absolutely nothing constructive to offer. Pied Pipers if you ask me.
