Have to appreciate the quandary Republican lawmakers must be in over this. On one hand, they know the best thing for GOP is to get Trump convicted and thereby ineligible to hold public office forever; it will relieve them of having to deal with him over the next 4 years + make it easier to find people to run for president in 2024 without having the 'inconvenience' of tens of millions of folks that want Trump to get in again at that time.

On the other hand, there's the mantra of the Republican lawmakers having to protect their party against any action the Democrats want to accomplish.

My guess is that they will move the latter way. GOP simply will not vote to convict another Republican......even if it would make their party stronger in the long run.

 

Forty years of extensive studies concluded the republican party organizes like chickens. That makes their behavior often roughly as predictable as Newtonian mechanics. Republicans don't have a mantra, every word that comes out of their mouth can be interpreted as, "Give Us Money!" They are fucking chickens, and will love even Adolf Hitler, if he feeds them corn. The more corn, the better, the more money, the better. They are attempting to fight a retreating battle away from the money, but the Tea Party is making it impossible to even pretend that we have a government anymore.

At 5:18, the rioters are reading papers on the Senate floor that say Ted Cruz was going to object to the electoral votes of AZ.

They think they made a brilliant discovery.

They are upset because they mistakenly think that Ted Cruz was going to sell out on them all along.

Cruz objecting to the AZ electoral votes was an objection to Biden's win in AZ.

A bunch of guys were there dressed up in Star Trek attire and asking Shatner the dumbest questions imaginable, such as what was the combination to his suitcase lock on the Enterprise.

After initially being polite, Shatner couldn't take it anymore and blew up.

The trekkie he was addressing quietly hung his head in shame.

The Capitol rioters are in the same boat.

You bet its related to money. My ex-mother-in-law fell in love once, and never saw the guy again, saying she never wanted to be that happy again. She married a guy with a few million dollars, and said she would go for a bigger fish next time. Harvard educated, she makes $70,000.oo working part-time just to keep busy, and hates when her car is not the most expensive one in the parking lot.

 

Straight up lowlife garbage. I felt that way about her since that photo of her with her feet up on the couch in the Oval Office. Real classy bitch!

None of these motherfuckers are going to go to jail- they are all going to get away with things that they would put you or I, UNDER the jail for.

 

Its hard to say where this is going exactly, but there is no fucking way the federal government can even pretend to be a democracy when 40% of the population keeps demanding a dictator. The only reason for the Tea Party's existence and rhetoric, is to destroy the US government, and nothing they can say at this point will ever convince anyone different. Not good, but the bright side is that half the country hasn't blown up yet.
