Even when they were at their peak, nearly a century ago, MOST white Americans wanted nothing to do with them. When I moved to Atlanta I expected to see the klan everywhere. Instead, they are nowhere. I think they get more play from the media than they deserve. I fail to see how anyone co0uld possibly see them as a "threat".

Think about it, if a bunch of bedsheeters were swarming into town to attack black people, does anyone think they'd make it out of town alive? I sure don't. Which is why the few chickenshits who call themselves KKK spend more time hiding than protesting. Sorry, I'm just not buying it. I should be living in KKK-central, but where are they?

 

The Klan is very strong. The Klan has many sub-clubs...like Alt Right. Southern Poverty Law Center does not know half of reality about the Klan. The Klan has evolved and now has Computers and guys in car sales man type suits and fancy leather shoes. Moreover, they drive $79000 diesel pickups and Cadillacs.

 

They are very strong in Indiana

 

There are a few towns north of Atlanta that are %100 white and Klanish. By north I mean up towards Dalton and Ringold and all that.

 

I think you should spend a long three day weekend with a Black Woman at a Motel 6...with a bottle of Brandy. Your fear of Black people and immigrants will evaporate quickly.

 

There are a some in that category, but most seem to be redneck trailer park dwellers who are economically marginal and feel threatened by nonwhites. One of the problems in talking about the Klan is that the original organization died out over a century ago, and what we have now are autonomous subgroups, some more racist than others. The Rocky Mountain Knights was so desperate for membership that it opened its doors to racial minorities and became mainly a nativist hate group. Those "in the mountain range between GA & NC" ( aka hillbillies) fit the Deliverance stereotype. There it's hard to distinguish between racial purity and in-breeding. Indiana was an early home of the Klan, and has a demographic that lends itself to white nativism in places like Indianapolis, South Bend and Kokomo, as well as the small towns. But the few klavens that are active today are shadows of their former selves. White nationalism in the AltRight movement is a bigger problem. There you have a lumpenproletariat of basement-dewlling gamers insecure about their masculinity following Milo Yiannopoulos linked to a more well-heeled petit bourgeoisie of techies and small business millennials. Some, like Richard Spencer, who has a university degree and some post-graduate education, come from well-heeled upper class privilege that they want to protect from challengers. Then there are the neo-Nazi Stormers and similar groups, turning their insecurities toward Jews and Muslims. Hillary got herself into trouble by talking about a "basket of deplorables", but what else can you call them? At the heart of it all is the Mercer-funded Breitbart. One potentially significant recent development is the Mercer's pulling the plug on Milo and Bannon. That could change the picture a lot.

 

There was a KKK building in Florida on the east side of ---Highway 1? I think someone burned it down while I was there.

 

I agree with all that. I will add that Richard Spencer has a big real estate profile with properties in Louisiana and Montana. White Fish Montana is riddled by his followers. There are some towns around that big Lake in northern Idaho where the local will come out to meet you with SKS rifles in hand (Happened to me!) Indiana government today is controlled by KKK grand children of earlier KKK big hitters. Butler, Kendalville, Albion, Union City, Martinsville, Columbus, and Elletsville are all Indiana towns with a big KKK presence. One of the leaders of the Charolletsville event is Matthew Heimbach and he lives in Paoli in Indiana.

Klanish? This doesn't sound like strident fact checking. It sounds fabricated. Unless you consider a flag to be 100% proof of klan affiliation. Because that's the closest thing to the KKK I have seen in North Georgia and most of them wimp out by flying the previous Georgia flag instead of a 100% confederate battle flag. I still think it's rather humorous that anyone would see these kinds of people as any sort of national threat.

I wasn't talking about a national threat. You misunderstand things. I am not talking about flags. I just said the information because I know first hand. I am a trucker and know the people in Georgia. I worked with these men. A lot of these Klans men will work with you if you are a trucker. The cattle haulers from Colorado are country people and the Klans men will work with them. OK that's enough. Trump has the CDC getting us ready for a nuke disaster. That might mean a Korea conflict full bore? He jus issued orders to the CDC to prevent them from using scientific language. Great leadership we have, don't cha think?

 

No one said it was not. My guess is that you grew up poor didn't you? Probably not upper middle class or rich but maybe. Probably grew up around a lot of black people or had a bad experience with one. I ask because every brand markets and knows it's client. It's well known Nazis seek out poor white people in urban areas. Why? Because statistically it's very likely they have been exposed to black gangs and crime. It's also likely that those gangs and community are unlikely to accept them. Black people can be racist too. But if they go to a middle class area it's more likely that the people in general get a long better regardless of color.

White Supremacy means you are not responsible for a lot of things in the world and a lot of things that happened to you. It's a fantasy world where your life would have been different. Some utopian society is possible not by looking at the root causes of problems but by saying the root a certain type of person. A person who by birth is just born to be shit. No choice they make will ever be right.

Of course you say you are a racist just smart and just not afraid to be proud because after all every other race be proud. You don't understand what proud is. Just a certain way to describe what you really mean. American history is already a "white" history. It's really pathetic to have this fear of being erased somehow. What you seem to fear the most is the other races do what you wish to do to them. If the KKK or Nazis in this country had their way there would have been no Latin of African people living here for 150 years. Now the Latin people are on course to the majority of the countries population. That's why they want walls and resrictions in immigration. They are afraid they will be treated how they treated others. But it's ok to fuck with Mexicans because they don't belong here white people were here first. That's why you are "proud" of being a white American.

Except there were brown people already here. Even if your relative was on the May Flower of came around Revolutionary War times (a common claim among Nazis) you were the Mexican of your day. The guy who deiced life would be better somewhere else someone already lived. America is a stolen country. But it's also a country of opportunity. I bet the average White Supremacist group would gladly accept an Irish person today. A man who was proud to have 100% Irish (white) blood. A man who has a culture of fighting a foreign invader for his people in the English. He would proudly speak of that at a Trump rally. Yet 100 years ago in America a white Irish person was the person who did not belong here. The person who steals a job I deserve. But probably like Mexicans now it's because the Irish person would do it for less, they both have to.

Funny how standards change isn't it? America has always had an underclass of people who are viewed as not as worthy of the true American life. That is reserved for a select few. Do you know how much space this country has? You can not really drive for as long in Europe without finding any homes. We have plenty of room for new people.

Instead of a wall to keep them out we need a better way for them to come in. If I were Trump instead of the wall you have a massive "grandfathering" I guess you would call it of the existing illegal immigrants here. We have to be honest, many have jobs, they have children born here, they love this country and support it. The problem is how can they admit they are here? They want to but their story is probably they snuck in, never got caught, and now live a life under the radar. They work but they are always careful about when they shop and were. They always follow traffic laws. Their biggest fear is having to back to Mexico with nothing. How do these people not deserve to be American?

The main issue seems to be that they do not pay tax so they leech off they system in the right's mind. But they would gladly pay tax if they could. So I would say anyone who can prove they have a home in America and seeking employment that can be proven dating back a certain number of months is eligible for a citazinship test. Part of that could even be English lessons to appease right wing people. Employers who admit to or are found to employ these employees will now be expected to pay minnium wage but will face no penalty otherwise under the law. A lot of people would be fired sadly. But at least those people could now look for more real jobs not shady kitchen and construction jobs. The Latin community would come forward of this. You don't need to do anything but post flyers in English and Spanish around the country. World will spread. Very cheap for the tax payer. And the additional revenue would be significant without raising taxes as I know the right hates.

 

The pot issue will now be directed by the 26 legal-marijuana states to Congress . This is not foolish .

Just watched Tapper's interview with Stephen Miller. We need to encourage Miller to give more of those. That creep could haunt houses!
