I have said for years that the Republican Party platform and the KKK platform are identical. There was a massive shift in party membership, in 1972 when Nixon was President. All the White Christian -self described conservatives- moved to the Republican Party. All the Liberals, Civil Rights Advocates, Labor membership, Spanish speakers, and Black people migrated to the Democrat Party. Today, jackasses of FOX news like Billy Cunningham, Sean Hannity, Buck Sexton, and Mark Levin tell their audience that Democrats are the party of slavery and Jim Crow laws, when they well know that happened before 1972 and the migration. FOX news knows it is the Republicans who did all the terrible things. The Republicans and The KKK both think government should stay out of business activity so their own White Christian business owners can profit from cheap labor ... even slavery. They are opposed to minimum wage laws, because they want us to work for little or nothing. Everyone of them fake conservative Christians wants minimum wage laws taken down.

City hosting Trump rally in Alabama declares COVID-19 emergency

    excerpt:

"Cullman, Ala., on Thursday declared a COVID-19-related state of emergency ahead of a scheduled Alabama GOP rally featuring former President Trump on Saturday as Alabama struggles with a surge in new infections and a shortage of hospital beds.

The state of emergency declaration allows the city to provide additional resources for the rally, a request that was made by the chief operating office of Cullman Regional Medical Center, which is experiencing overcrowding amid a spike in coronavirus-related hospitalizations.

Alabama saw 3,890 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, with a seven-day moving average of about 3,000 new infections, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Covid Data Tracker. Cullman Regional’s latest update on Wednesday showed that the hospital was treating 56 coronavirus patients, including 12 people who are on ventilators.

The Alabama Hospital Association also revealed on Wednesday that the state has run out of intensive care unit beds, reporting a 29-bed deficit."

""Make ICUs Full Again" was in the comedy video. Alabama is making it real with its dire virus situation and Trump coming to town for his rally.

Democrats plan to greet Trump with ‘Welcome to Alabama, Liar’ signs

    excerpt:

"A top official with the Alabama Democratic Party says former President Trump’s rally in Cullman on Saturday night is a bad idea because of the main attraction, his message, and the timing -- during a surge in the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We think it’s probably going to be the biggest super-spreader event in Alabama in a long time and really ill advised,” Alabama Democratic Party Executive Director Wade Perry said."

How is the white evangelical movement any different than the Taliban?
    1. They both want to restrict the rights of women.
    2. They both want to restrict voting rights.
    3. They both want to suppress opposing viewpoints.

The greatest threat to freedom, equality, fair elections, fair pay for work, truth in media, the defeat of racism, the correction of the extremely rigged economic system is the spinless, lying, trump sucking, sold out, right wing, conservative REPUBLICANS. The democrats and Independents better get their message of wanting to correct the aforementioned maladies of this country front and center and learn how to convince even THE DUMBEST of citizens that a progressive surge of laws and actions will be for their and the country's benefit. IMO, it's time to -once and for all--prove to citizens the anti working class way that has ALWAYS been the method by which republicans--conservatives approach governing. I don't see how this country can survive another administration or two of republican anti Americanism. ;)

When I used to wash dishes for $1.15 per hour minimum wage, the Republicans were opposed to minimum wage laws.

Sheriff's deputy charged in connection with Capitol insurrection.

Williamson County sheriff's deputy accused of assault in Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"A Tennessee sheriff's deputy assaulted a fellow law enforcement officer and then attempted to use his status to gain access to the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot, according to a motion filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office Wednesday.

Ronald Colton McAbee, a 27-year-old Williamson County sheriff's deputy, was arrested Aug. 17 after the FBI received a tip he was the man in officer-worn body camera footage who attempted to fight a Metropolitan Police Department officer and drag another into the mob storming the Capitol.

The U.S. attorney's office pre-trial motion argued McAbee should be held without bail because he was a "spoke in the wheel" that caused the Jan. 6 riot and was a "threat to the peaceful functioning of our community.""

The demented behavior of Trump's people is creepy. It's a melding of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Night of the Living Dead.

It's understandable how it caused one of Trump's rioters and four police officers to commit suicide in the aftermath.
