Trump insinuates fraudulent voting is occurring related to Blacks.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...omething-suspicious-about-black-voting-again/

    excerpt:

    Trump quote:

“Joe Biden lost with the African American population to former president Barack Hussein Obama in every single state other than the five swing states, in other words, the only states that were going to determine the election — although I think a lot of other states were corrupt also.”

Do you remember what the Republicans did to Susan McDougal when she refused to answer their questions?

Trump rioter chooses to represent himself and admits to two new felonies in court.

Capitol Rioter Decides to Represent Himself in Court, Accidentally Admits to Two New Felonies

    excerpt:

"Assistant U.S. Attorney Mona Furst reportedly got Fellows to admit that he gained access to the Capitol through a broken window, and that he tried to get a previous judge removed from the case using the judge’s wife’s contact information. At the end of the hearing, McFadden ordered Fellows back into custody and told him: “You’ve admitted to incredible lapses of judgment here on the stand, not least of which was seeking to disqualify a New York state judge.”"

Not even the UN has the right to inspect US prisons for human rights violations, without their permission, so he's in for an uphill battle.

GOP leader's remarks on Fox underscore Trump's power

    excerpt:

"Minority Whip Steve Scalise, the No. 2 House GOP leader, refused this week to say the 2020 election was not stolen from Republicans, sparking fury from Democrats and even some in his own party.

But his dubious remarks are unlikely to harm the Louisiana Republican’s growing political ambitions. In fact, Scalise likely will be rewarded for taking that position if the GOP wins the House in 2022.

It’s yet another sign of how rank-and-file and powerful veteran Republicans alike are bending the knee to former President Trump and embracing his false claims that widespread fraud led to President Biden’s election victory.

Seven years after rising to leadership, Scalise remains popular in his party and 212-member GOP conference. He’s raked in tens of millions of dollars in fundraising over the years, including more than $5 million in the last quarter."

If Trump behaves in such a manner, it's acceptable. Just locker room banter.

Lewandowski Demanded Cash After MAGA-Land Kicked Him to the Curb

    excerpt:

"Lewandowski’s fall from MAGA grace stems from allegations last week that he had sexually assaulted a major donor to his own super PAC at a charity event. His accuser, Trashelle Odom—who is married to a top Idaho developer—claimed in a statement to Politico that Lewandowski had made a series of unwanted advances over the course of the evening, grabbing her buttocks and one of her legs, boasting about his genitalia, speaking to her lewdly, and flashing his room key. The Odoms reportedly asked the super PAC to refund their $100,000 if the group did not sever its ties with Lewandowski."

The real problem (imo) is that most of the Republican lawmakers know better. They're well aware of Trump's 'weaknesses' and realize that the country is not being best served by him as president (to put it in the most understated fashion possible). The thing is that they're more interested in a GOP member leading the country; that's of paramount importance to them. Most of them aren't as dedicated to Trump as they are to their political party.

The Trump-supporting voters? That's a different story; many are smart enough to know better than to have this fool in office..... but vote Republican anyway. Many others don't know better; they honestly believe every word that comes from Trump's mouth......and after all, we rage at Trump for lying, but why shouldn't he? It works with tens of millions of his followers, doesn't it? What incentive is there for him telling the truth?

Then, of course, there are the folks that vote only Republican. It wouldn't matter if Jeffrey Dahmer were the GOP candidate; they'd vote for him without considering anything else. Are there Democrats that vote only for members of their party? Sure there are, but studies have always shown that there is a much lower percentage of them than boasted by Republicans.

It still rocks me that there are people that debate whether Trump will run in '24. Was there ever a doubt? Never mind what he can do for his country......fact is, he just likes being president and all the power & adulation that comes with it.

    I mean, really.

It boggles the mind that a twice impeached president could be elected again.

The GOP's idea of loyalty is storming the palace with knives and pitchforks, and the longer the mass media keeps attempting to present them as having anything resembling honor and dignity, the worse things will get. Donald Duck controls the fucking GOP, because the GOP doesn't represent anything more than a lynch mob anymore. Its just sad really, when nobody believes a fucking word you say, and the mass media is as trustworthy as Martha Stewart.

As long as he brings in the money, they will win. The "I endorse this guy, he's a fine individual" mid term ads are already starting.

    excerpt:

"The committee said it is seeking records and testimony from Jeffrey Clark, a Trump Justice Department official who sought to deploy department resources to support former president Donald Trump’s false claims of massive voting fraud in the 2020 election.

“The Select Committee needs to understand all the details about efforts inside the previous administration to delay the certification of the 2020 election and amplify misinformation about the election results,” committee Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.) said in a statement. “We need to understand Mr. Clark’s role in these efforts at the Justice Department and learn who was involved across the administration The Select Committee expects Mr. Clark to cooperate fully with our investigation.”"

    excerpt:

"Negotiations between Clark’s legal team and the committee did not proceed as rapidly as the panel hoped, according to a person familiar with the conversations, which resulted in the subpoena being issued Wednesday.

The committee is seeking documents and a deposition from Clark by Oct. 29.

Clark is considered a key witness for the panel, which is looking into Trump administration efforts to overturn election results and interfere with the transfer of power.

Clark, the former acting head of the DOJ’s civil division, emerged as a key player in Trump’s push to amplify his voter-fraud claims after it was reported that the two men were in close touch in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 attack, which was the most serious attack on the Capitol since the War of 1812."
