    She was dismissed multiple times.

Before being dismissed because of her involvement in Trump's riot, Mathai was dismissed for having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

Deputy involved in U.S. Capitol riots has been fired

    excerpt:

"SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff has fired on of his deputies who was at the U.S. Capitol riots.

Roxanne Mathai, now a former Bexar County jailer, posted selfies of her outside the Capitol Building and riot control team on social media.

Mathai was originally issued an order of dismissal for having an improper relationship with an inmate. She went through the grievance process and instead of dismissal, she was suspended for 120 days.

Then she was given an order of dismissal for participating in the riots. She went through the grievance process again, but the decision for dismissal was upheld.

Mathai was fired June 11, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office."

Navarro stated that the ploy to have members of Congress object to the electoral votes of swing states was doomed. It required a majority vote in both houses for each objection of a state's slate.

The ploy was to create a day-long PR drama to try to coerce state legislators to somehow rescind their electoral votes and formulate their own slate for Trump. That was also next to impossible, considering it was already January 6 and the Electoral College had voted three weeks earlier. The states had certified their electoral slate weeks before that. Some states, such as MI, have laws in place to prevent a frivolous overturning of the slate.

It shows the utter desperation of Trump.

Unusual cases could arise, such as a state submitting two slates of electoral votes to the Congress as a result of some internal dispute within a state. In such a case, the VP (Pence), would likely have to send the votes back to the state and have them correct their own problem before certifying the Electoral College vote. Trump wanted Pence to go far beyond that role and overturn slates even though there wasn't a problem.

That's a distinct possibility but without evidence we have to accept the results - or we'll become as bad as our QAnon friends

It's important to note this is his new wife Erika Wulff Jones, his former wife had enough of the BS and divorced him in 2015.

Trump warns Alaska GOP governor he'll revoke endorsement if he backs Murkowski

    excerpt:

"Former President Trump on Tuesday endorsed Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s (R) reelection bid, but only on the condition that Dunleavy doesn’t back Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) in 2022.

“Alaska needs Mike Dunleavy as Governor now more than ever,” Trump said in a statement. “He has my Complete and Total Endorsement but, this endorsement is subject to his non-endorsement of Senator Lisa Murkowski who has been very bad for Alaska.”

“In other words, if Mike endorses her, which is his prerogative, my endorsement of him is null and void, and of no further force or effect!” Trump added."

Trump has been trying to infiltrate election-related positions with his truther-minded followers and change state laws to give state legislatures control over election boards, such as replacing officials for 'under-performance'. It would undo or circumvent laws that have been in place to prevent frivolous manipulation of electoral votes.

Navarro was a trade advisor handling Trump's pandemic response, a role for which he had no expertise (which is par for the course for Trump).

Trump Adviser Worried He’s Not Getting Enough Credit for Trying to Ruin American Democracy

    excerpt:

"The plot sought to keep Trump in office by exerting maximum pressure on Vice President Mike Pence to block the certification of the Electoral College votes from pivotal swing states, by drawing out the proceedings on national television for as long as 24 hours. “It was a perfect plan,” Navarro told the Daily Beast. “We had over 100 congressmen committed to it.”

Navarro’s anti-democratic plot was intended to keep Trump in office without violence, he’s fast to insist. In fact, Navarro blames the bloody insurrection at the Capitol for what he calls the “inglorious” result of Congress certifying the (100 percent legitimate) election of Joe Biden, foiling the autogolpe that could have continued Trump’s reign of “populist economic nationalism.”

Navarro is a Harvard-educated economist whom Trump tapped, originally, to escalate his trade war with China. But as coronavirus struck, Navarro’s role at the White House expanded to include pandemic response, in which he pushed the quack treatment of hydroxychloroquine. By the bitter end, Navarro was compiling cockeyed dossiers of (now-exhaustively-debunked) allegations of election fraud — “receipts” Navarro believed justified tin-pot measures to keep Trump in the White House."

Trump Adviser Worried He’s Not Getting Enough Credit for Trying to Ruin American Democracy

    excerpt:

"Navarro writes that the insurrection at the Capitol actually undermined the Green Bay Sweep by disrupting the official proceedings. When the Capitol was finally cleared of rioters and the joint session of Congress reconvened, Pence and leaders of both parties used “the excuse of the violence” to block other challenges to certification, Navarro writes. “In the inglorious way,” the Green Bay Sweep ended. Call it a sack, a fumble, or an interception, Navarro writes, Pence blew the play and “secured his place in history as the Brutus most responsible for the final betrayal of President Trump.”"

Navarro should call it a jackass stunt by a desperate, incompetent, losing football team that had no chance of success who blamed the loss on 'unfair' referees.

Judge refuses to dismiss alleged Proud Boys leaders' charges

    excerpt:

"A federal judge refused to dismiss an indictment charging four alleged leaders of the far-right Proud Boys with conspiring to attack the U.S. Capitol to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden's electoral victory.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly on Tuesday rejected defense attorneys' arguments that the four men — Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Charles Donohoe — are charged with conduct that is protected by the First Amendment right to free speech.

Kelly said the defendants had many nonviolent ways to express their opinions about the 2020 presidential election.

“Defendants are not, as they argue, charged with anything like burning flags, wearing black armbands, or participating in mere sit-ins or protests," Kelly wrote in his 43-page ruling. “Moreover, even if the charged conduct had some expressive aspect, it lost whatever First Amendment protection it may have had.""

Navarro didn't explain how the rest of the plan would work to actually keep Trump as president after the PR event at the Capitol.

Trump Adviser Worried He’s Not Getting Enough Credit for Trying to Ruin American Democracy

    excerpt:

"The dark particulars for how Trump would remain in office after that are not spelled out, and Navarro did not immediately answer an email seeking clarification. But he writes that the Green Bay Sweep was the “last, best chance to snatch a stolen election from the Democrats’ jaws of deceit.”"
