From what I understand the video feed is only monitored when the Speaker is there at her home, but she was in DC at the time... So "standard procedure"
Putin and Trump share numerous attributes. 7 key moments in Putin’s annexation speech By Adam Taylor September 30, 2022 at 12:22 p.m. EDT https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/09/30/putin-speech-ukraine/ excerpt: "1. Russia will never give up annexed regions. 2. Ukraine must give in. 3. The West is trying to destroy Russia. 4. The United States, not Russia, poses a nuclear threat. 5. ‘Anglo-Saxons’ sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines. 6. Russia will never recognize LGBT rights. 7. In the words of Ivan Ilyin, Russia’s ‘destiny is my destiny.’"
Trump has proffered a similar line of thought. He's on a perverted, fascist-like quest to restore the U.S. to what he thinks was a Christian, white greatness of the past.
Putin is now blaming Russia's problems on what he refers to generally as Anglo-Saxons. It's questionable what Putin thinks will be the remedy for him. Permanently annexing an eastern portion of Ukraine isn't going to solve what he claims is an immense effort by the Anglo-Saxons to crush Russian culture. It's like a pacifier in his mouth to temporarily ease his anxiety that (like Trump) stem from a psychological problem he is having with himself. Even occupying all of Ukraine isn't going to solve his problems, real or perceived.
I have get to figure out what he hopes to gain by scorching Ukraine. Grain maybe? Seems for what he's cost Russia with the war, he could have bought a lot of grain. It's about time one of his ultra rich cohorts took him out.
Putin is like Wile E. Coyote. For all the money he spent on ACME products to try to catch the Road Runner and that inflicted immense injuries onto himself, he could have went to KFC for a fraction of the cost and bought himself a bucket.
The local MAGA Sheriff refuses to arrest him. No problem the FBI or The United States Marshals Service (USMS) are perfectly capable issuing the arrest warrant Harry Wait is looking at upwards of 13 years in prison
Holy sh*t! One of Trump's closest aides involved in the Mar-a-Lago mess was just granted immunity Very bad news for Donald Trump. His longtime aide Kash Patel just inked a limited immunity deal with the DOJ, according to the Wall Street Journal. Yesterday, Judge Beryl Howell of the DC District Court granted the 42-year-old children’s book author immunity from prosecution on any information he provides to investigators looking into the alleged mishandling of classified government documents at Mar-a-Lago. Over the years, Patel has become one of Trump’s most trusted confidants. He held a number of national security roles within the Trump administration, including chief of staff of the Pentagon, before joining the board of directors for the Trump Media & Technology Group after Trump left office. He is also one of the ex-president’s designees to work with the National Archives.
