Quayle was all worked up over the show Murphy Brown and even blamed it for unrest while giving a formal speech after the LA riots.

Comedian Johnny Carson said that Quayle also made profound statements that Wile E. Coyote couldn't have possibly swallowed all of that dynamite and lived.

Today, the issue for many in the GOP is drag queen shows.

She ran for a seat in the U.S. Congress in 2022 and lost. She was endorsed by Trump.

Palin's brand of politics has been described as a forerunner to Trump era politics.

 

Palin is the type of politician Trump likes to endorse.

It's part of why the GOP lost various higher level positions (U.S. House and Senate seats, governorship, secretary of state) in the 2022 midterms that they could have won had higher quality candidates been endorsed by Trump.
