The fact that Cohen has testified and could be a witness in an upcoming Trump criminal trial involving Stormy Daniels seems to be the reason why they filed suit. It appears to be an attempt to cripple Cohen for an upcoming trial.

During an interview, Trump whined that there aren't any U.S. factories that could make clothing. Therefore, he supposedly had to rely on places like China, Mexico, and Bangladesh for his and his daughter's import clothing business.

He could have built his own factory.

He could have used a dormant textile factory in the U.S. to produce his clothing line.

NASA used a dormant textile factory in the northeast to make high-tech thermal barrier cloth.

If NASA could do that, surely Trump could make something as simple as a shirt or tie using the same approach.

The main reason he hasn't is that he wouldn't make as high a profit as importing from Bangladesh (while telling everyone else that they shouldn't be importing).
