Trump took a page out of the DeSantis playbook.

Trump didn't give details of the 'bold action', but one could surmise that it would entail a ban on colleges and universities from mentioning the Barbie doll, who is supposedly 'woke', communist, and pro-China.

Trump is now on an anti-Marxist, anti-China crusade after saluting the military general of the dictator of N. Korea when he visited as president. Trump had a big smile on his face during that meeting.

    Article from 2018.

That's not too distant from GOP presidential candidate Ramaswamy who has been blaming the 'woke' media for supposedly keeping vital information from the public that he thinks caused the riot at the Capitol, not the incessant lies by Trump about the election being stolen from him that was the main cause of the insurrection at the Capitol and not the plethora of misinformation that Trump spread about Covid.

Ramaswamy: ‘Pervasive’ censorship caused Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol

More of that can be expected from Trump, as he doesn't want to appear to be out-stupidified by DeSantis.

Protests for the first and second indictments for Mr Trump have been very “weak and low energy”

Trump's ego often overrides pragmatism, but this time he settled.

Trump settled on a Friday, three days before Cohen's case was scheduled to start in a state court in Manhattan on Monday.

He's settled in the past just before trials were to begin, such as the Trump University trial that would have transpired during the start of his term as president and the case of the construction contractors who said they were stiffed by him circa 1980 which Trump finally settled in the mid-90's.

Trump's reason for settling is probably the fact that he has so much on his legal plate currently that is draining his time and money from his PAC that he has been using for legal defense that could have been used for his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump filed a counter-suit against Cohen for $500 million for breach of contract after Cohen sued him for $1.3 million in legal fees, the suit that was just settled.

It's not known what will happened with the $500 million suit, a case that could expose various sensitive personal information about Trump's finances. Trump's been arguing in court to keep such information private as he sues Cohen.

Trump has an upcoming criminal trial in Manhattan in March 2024 that involves Cohen and Stormy Daniels. He doesn't want any more information exposed that could damage him in that trial and potentially other trials.

The protests Trump insinuated would happen after his indictments have been, to use his own words, sleepy, low-energy, and weak.

Trump has moved the goal posts for the trigger of violence by his supporters from the announcement of the indictments (which triggered nothing) to him being incarcerated.

On the lighter side, he can rejoice that the QAnon shaman renounced his apologies to the court. Trump loves the quirky, paper-bag bluster of people like the shaman. Trump should wear horns and carry a spear.

Like the QAnon shaman., Trump puts on a dumb bravado and needlessly goes up against the justice system which puts him in legal peril later. He's been spoiled by engaging in this type of behavior in the civil docket where his wealth has given him an upper hand at trying to achieve victories or accepting partial losses (settling privately).

Trump wants the biggest party in town, the biggest flag and tallest pole in Palm Beach, the most sensitive Pentagon papers to show off as a trophy to people not authorized to see them.

Trump's former AG Bill Barr said publicly that in the documents saga Trump was raising his middle finger to the government. He could have easily complied over the course of a year and a half but didn't.

He wants to keep the game going and further escalate his defiance to win yet another battle that was bigger than the previous, even in the criminal docket where he has no experience and doesn't seem to fully comprehend his potential fate.

Kid Rock says he wants Trump to be president because he comes right out and says what he believes.
