    Central planning?
I think the U.S.S.R. tried that.

A responsible capitalist government needs to structure a system where providing employment is more financially rewarding than importing goods and becoming mega rich. This rewards them further when the workers in the country have money in their pockets to afford to buy their goods or services.

Russian style communism was a total disaster, but the system in China treads a fine line, with some degree of success. If a government is not expected to encourage its people to live in a fair and balanced society, what is the point of the people electing them in the first place.

A government refereeing fair play is a million miles from communism. Needless to say, to achieve success, their will be some rules that greedy corporations do not like.

I see no real problems with infrastructure such as railways, health services and policing remaining under a large degree of state control.
As we have seen in the UK, privatization of these services results in them being asset stripped. Our railways were the worst example, with tracks being ripped up and sold for scrap metal and the land sold to developers for millions of pounds.

Well, Trumpy did say he is THE ONLY ONE QUALIFIED TO FIX IT and that's why he is appointing all these people with out qualifications to lead agencies when he thinks government agencies are so bad. And he also thinks he does need to disclose his tax returns as prior president have done.

Trump is saying "we'll see what happens" regarding Jackson's nomination to lead the VA. That phrase has usually spelled doom for whomever he was talking about, like it did when he used it to describe Bannon in the weeks leading up to him getting booted.

If Jackson doesn't make it, Trump will need to find someone more qualified, someone who will say Trump is an eternally stable super-genius, 6-5 and 180 lbs, and who could live to be 400 by eating more McDonald's food.

A portion of the population in the U.S. is having difficulty accepting overall world changes that have become permanent.

China, which was once a non-competitive, coveted, inexpensive labor source for the U.S., is now becoming competitive, self-sufficient, and less dependent on the U.S. for its science and technology.

The general public of the U.S. is gradually becoming more multicultural and unaffiliated with a religion or a political party. Islam is the fastest growing religion and expected to overtake Christianity in a few decades.

Trump and his old school crew of Navarro, Lighthizer, and Ross (born 1937) are symbolic of a desire to return to the old days and bring back the beautiful, clean whale oil that China supposedly stole from it. Trump tried unsuccessfully to use DACA recipients as a bargaining chip to implement permanent immigration changes that would cut overall immigration by half. He is using obscure laws to impose tariffs to try to thwart China's Made In China 2025 initiative that will make it less dependent on the U.S.

Trump's approaches are after-the-fact, band-aid remedies that blame others. The situation is similar to what transpired in the 1920's in the U.S. when traditionalists were opposing major changes such as electric lighting, jazz music, teaching of biological evolution, and women's self-empowerment. In the long run, none of those societal changes were thwarted by Trump-minded reactionary groups such as the KKK. People eventually accepted the changes.

Instead of spending time on theatrics like the Scopes evolution trial (akin to today's Mexico border wall), people in the 20's should have recognized the hazards of issuing too much financial credit and imposing tariffs, both of which contributed significantly to the Great Depression.

Things are very similar to the year before the Great Depression. The only difference is Hoover was smarter and did not tweet.

Trump's guy at the EPA just put out new rules which prevent government employees to research and use established science.

Trump equated to Cyrus the Great. Coins made with Trump's face nearly eclipsing that of Cyrus.

In Donald Trump, Israelis hear echoes of an ancient emperor

    excerpt:

"TEL AVIV — Cyrus II of Persia founded one of the greatest empires in history, promulgated what is believed to be the world’s first declaration of human rights, and is a national hero in Iran. Oh, and ever since last December, when the United States recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and made plans to relocate the U.S. embassy there, prominent Israelis have explicitly compared Donald Trump to the ruler who has gone down in history as Cyrus the Great.

The Trump-as-Cyrus meme was made explicitly by Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, during his visit to Washington last month. “I want to tell you that the Jewish people have a long memory, so we remember the proclamation of the great king, Cyrus the Great,” Netanyahu said at the White House. “And we remember how a few weeks ago, President Donald J. Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.” Netanyahu has been joined by other prominent ministers in his right-wing coalition, including Minister of Education Naftali Bennett and Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked, who tweeted, “Trump is in his generation as Cyrus was in his.” Yehuda Glick, the American-born rabbi who is a leader of the movement to build a third Jewish temple in Jerusalem, has said that anyone who does not see that Trump’s declaration resembles Cyrus’s “should buy himself a new pair of glasses.”"

Well we now know that trump has lied once again if you believe Thomas Roberts the host of the 2013 Miss Universe pageant who said on Tuesday that President Trump stayed overnight in Moscow the night before the pageant.

This contradicts what Trump told former FBI Director James Comey which states that Trump did not stay overnight in Moscow during the 2013 trip.

White House physician Ronny Jackson should request the United States Mint to make a commemorative coin declaring Trump to be the epitomy of mental and physical health.

Trump has bragged in public about his rough tactics, like he did in his 2018 speech in W. Virginia when he said he deregulated in a very nasty fashion. He has encouraged law enforcement officials to not be so nice with suspects when arresting them.

Trump has raided the dressing rooms of his beauty pageants to catch the women nude. He felt good when he imposed tariffs on China and bragged that trade wars were easy to win.

But now he cries that his attorney was raided by the FBI and that China has imposed 'unfair' retaliatory tariffs that target his political base.

How do Trump supporters explain Isreal's love of him and their own alt-right views? Must be conflicting on one hand Islam is mad on the other the Jews are pleased. Are they not concerned Netanyahu will "replace" them in America too? Of course not every Trump voter marched screaming that. But even if they are not you have a country that is not helping itself in Israel and is not Christian. A lot you would think they do not agree with.

Pretty sad Trump is so easily duped by him. He is Jewish ISIS in many ways. My religion will rule and I am fine with killing those who disagree. He is not a good representative of the Jewish people.

Trump appointee to HUD wants to raise the rent on poor people in America. That's one step away from kicking old folks out to the side walk.

    Cohen pleaded the fifth today.

More hypocrisy from Trump. Trump has insinuated that others are guilty because of taking the fifth, yet Flynn, Cohen, and Trump himself have done it.

What Does it Mean to 'Plead the Fifth'?

    excerpt:

"Trump also weighed in, saying mobsters invoke the 5th. “The mob takes the Fifth Amendment,” said Trump in September.”If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

The Huffington Post reported Trump himself pleaded the fifth 97 times over the course the proceedings for his divorce from Ivana Trump."

Alex Jones had a meltdown after the Syria bombing. Trump has already lost support from what was the alt-right, truther-conspiracy groups. Bannon is gone and Trump has gradually melded into the corporate DC political establishment. It's short-circuits intentions he may been having of running once again on an outsider platform in 2020, which is part of where he got a boost needed to just barely eek out the 2016 election.

Netanyahu duped Trump the same way White House physician Ronny Jackson did. Simply compliment Trump with outrageous, non-factual remarks. Jackson got nominated to be the head of the $200 billion VA because of it. Netanyahu got the U.S. embassy moved to Jerusalem by using the same approach, plus some help from Las Vegas casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson contributing a large amount of money to Trump.

Mint a coin of Trump being a super-stable, ultra genius who is the epitomy of health like the group in Israel did proclaiming him to be the equivalent of Cyrus the Great. 'Trump the Great'. Add Trump branding to golf courses in your country to gain favor with foreign policy. Saudi Arabia and U.A.E. did. Qatar didn't and is feeling the consequences.

In itself, narcissism can't be used to remove a President from office, but it's manifestations can. Nixon's paranoia is an example. The manisfestations of it eventually caused him to commit acts that forced him to resign.

Even without being removed from office, the situation remains of a President who is making major policy decisions based on his love on money and on the extent to which others around him appeal to his narcissism.
