Trump poses a threat like that, and yet Newsmax claims Biden shouldn't be president by showing a video of him eating his salad supposedly too slow.

To improve her effort at auditioning for Trump's VP slot, Noem could have also cut the tail off her dog to use as a trophy after deliberately shooting and killing her own hunting dog on a hunting trip.

Trump Isn’t Wrong That Lots of People Like Dictatorship

    excerpt:

"What emerged in two interviews with Trump, and conversations with more than a dozen of his closest advisers and confidants, were the outlines of an imperial presidency that would reshape America and its role in the world.

To carry out a deportation operation designed to remove more than 11 million people from the country, Trump told me, he would be willing to build migrant detention camps and deploy the U.S. military, both at the border and inland.

He would let red states monitor women’s pregnancies and prosecute those who violate abortion bans. He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds appropriated by Congress, according to top advisers.

He would be willing to fire a U.S. Attorney who doesn’t carry out his order to prosecute someone, breaking with a tradition of independent law enforcement that dates from America’s founding.

He is weighing pardons for every one of his supporters accused of attacking the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, more than 800 of whom have pleaded guilty or been convicted by a jury.

He might not come to the aid of an attacked ally in Europe or Asia if he felt that country wasn’t paying enough for its own defense.

He would gut the U.S. civil service, deploy the National Guard to American cities as he sees fit, close the White House pandemic-preparedness office, and staff his Administration with acolytes who back his false assertion that the 2020 election was stolen."

    excerpt:

"And, thanks to the carefully manufactured conservative majority on the Supreme Court, he likely will commit all these capital constitutional crimes while enjoying some sort of half-assed jerry-rigged immunity based on some sort of half-assed jerry-rigger distinction between "official" and "private" acts.

The whole country has seen all this. The whole country knows all this. The whole country knows, or at least intuits, what is to come. And, still, according to most polls, the upcoming election is a dead heat.

Similar to Trump's friend, whom he appointed, Judge Cannon, assigning a special master to laboriously pick through thousands of page of government documents to determine which are official and which are supposedly Trump's property to obfuscate and delay a trial and potentially clear Trump of any crimes he committed.

Not just a half-ass, jerryrigged determination between 'official' and 'private', but also potentially a vague, half-assed definition of 'official' and 'private', if the Supreme Court even bothers to define those terms, to provide Trump with an endless loop of litigation with which to insulate himself from crimes he commits.

The Supreme Court could go further by simply saying Trump had absolute immunity without even bothering to make a vague, half-assed, jerry-rigged ruling about 'official' vs. 'personal'.

During the hearing, Supreme Court Justice Alito topped everyone by seemingly making a self-contradictory assertion that Trump should be given immunity which would allow him to freely sabotage democracy because, without immunity, he has a chance of sabotaging democracy (out of fear of being prosecuted), but not as big a chance of sabotaging democracy as he has if given absolute immunity.

Trade wars disrupt the supply chain which is inflationary in addition to the tariffs themselves.

During Trump's term, countries were scrambling to try to supply goods disrupted by the trade war. Countries in South America were ramping up soy production to try to supply it to countries who weren't buying it from the U.S. because of retaliatory import tariffs that countries placed on U.S. products such as soy.

Trump got upset about that too and wanted to retaliate further against such countries supplying it and countries buying it from them instead of the U.S. It creates a protracted, increasing spiral of tit-for-tat tariffs, a war that he had initially said would be easy to win but later said would take of second presidential term of him to try to win.

Trump has said publicly that he wants an even bigger trade war in a second term. His supporters who are complaining about inflation and harking back to him with a perceived 'good old days' rosy nostalgia are going to be disappointed if he's reelected.

Trump wanted to retaliate against American companies for moving some of their operations overseas to reduce the damage of retaliatory import tariffs on their products. Trump threatened them with taxes and fines for not being loyal to his trade wars. He even said he would promote bringing foreign companies into the U.S. to replace the U.S. companies who were moving some of their operations overseas.

Trump wanting to reward foreign companies and retaliate against American ones during his trade wars, which were supposed to do the opposite, shows the utter silliness of his mindset.

Supreme Court Justice Alito's suggested remedy is like a scene in a Three Stooges episode where a bunch of dinner plates accidentally dropped to the floor and some broke. Larry, while picking up the broken pieces, went ahead and smashed all the unbroken plates just to make everything consistent.

Those unbroken dinner plates stood a chance of breaking in the future, so why not just preemptively break all of them at once now.

"Farting up a storm": "The View" airs out rumors that Trump is letting it rip in court

    excerpt:

"In a recent segment of “The View,” cohost Sunny Hostin ripped Donald Trump for rumors that he's been passing gas in court during his hush-money trial.

“He’s just losing it. He’s farting up a storm in the courtroom. Everyone’s writing about that,” Hostin said. “He’s probably just horrified about that. He’s sitting there falling asleep. He’s now Sleepy Don. There’s no Sleepy Joe anymore.”

“They need to get him some Imodium,” Joy Behar chimed in."

Trump says he’d use police, National Guard and possibly the military to expel immigrants

    excerpt:

"Trump has vowed that on his first day in office, he plans to roll out a massive deportation effort reminiscent of an immigration crackdown that took place in the 1950s.

“I would have no problem using the military, per se,” he said. “We have to have law and order in our country. And whichever gets us there, but I think the National Guard will do the job.”"

Trump says he thinks people like a dictatorship.

Trump Isn’t Wrong That Lots of People Like Dictatorship

    excerpt:

"I would call your attention to one particular passage in the Time interview with Fulton County Inmate No. PO1135809 that's been roiling up the Intertoobz for the last couple of days. I was struck by it because, for the first time since he loosed his brand of tasty poison into the political marketplace, at the very end of the interview, the man told the undeniable truth about something.

Whether or not he was kidding about bringing a tyrannical end to our 248-year experiment in democracy, I ask him, Don’t you see why many Americans see such talk of dictatorship as contrary to our most cherished principles? Trump says no. Quite the opposite, he insists. “I think a lot of people like it.”"

Trump lied about Merchan supposedly not letting him attend his son's graduation.

Merchan never denied Trump. He said he would rule on it later, and he let Trump attend Barron's graduation.

The right-wing media went berserk, claiming he wasn't allowed to attend the graduation
