On the optimistic side, the bar associations and the federal court system seem less compromised, albeit for rogue judges like Cannon who were appointed by Trump. Cannon was overruled by the conservative 11th Circuit and severely reprimanded.

It's not guaranteed that a significant portion of the federal court system won't eventually succumb to the Trumpian 'Alice In Wonderland' mindset. It currently has become a last line of defense for maintaining some legal sanity in the country at the national level.

It's not known whether Trump is just a once-in-a-hundred year fluke or if others will be able to continue what he's been able to do the past nine years for decades to come.

Mitch McConnell and others like him have been trying to corrupt the federal court system. McConnell refused to play by the rules and wouldn't permit a floor vote on Obama's nominations for federal judges. Trump filled them and lied that Obama willingly left the positions vacant as a gift to Trump.

Trump nominated various crackpot people for federal judges. Some of them were so embarrassing that they voluntarily dropped out before a vote could even occur.

As much as he bashed the media for supposedly being fake and liars, Trump said that he wasn't bothering to vet his choices but instead was letting the media do the vetting for him.

Trump also visited a fire deparment in NY and gave pizzas.

He's lived in NY most of his life. He incorrectly used the acronym NYFD.

It's FDNY (to avoid confusion with NYPD).

    Six months from 2024 election.

An expensive, personal, very close presidential race careens toward an uncertain end

    excerpt:

"NBC News’ latest national survey shows Trump ahead by 2 points among registered voters, 46%-44% — well within the poll’s margin of error.

What also stands out is how the race has barely budged over the year, with Trump’s share stuck between 45% and 47%. Biden’s has fluctuated more, but only a little more, between a high of 49% and a low of 42%.

Other polls — both nationally and in the key battleground states — confirm how competitive and stable the race has been."

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is on the VP list.

He used to call Trump a con artist and say that Trump took advantage of the non-wealthy people.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...sh-money-trial-day-12-live-updates-rcna150792

    excerpt:

"McConney recalled when Trump almost fired him early on into their working relationship because he was paying Trump's bills without negotiating them.

McConney said that Trump's cash balance had declined from one week to the next, prompting Trump to instruct him to not simply pay bills blindly but to negotiate them at all times. It was, McConney said, "a teaching moment."

While McConney was telling this story on the stand, Trump appeared to be laughing."

Trump's Education Secretary, Betsy, DeVos resigned after the insurrection.

    Her comments:

“When I saw what was happening on January 6 and didn’t see the president step in and do what he could have done to turn it back or slow it down or really address the situation, it was just obvious to me that I couldn’t continue.”

Trump doesn't even consider an election fair when he wins.

Donald Trump puts America on notice again: If he loses, he won't go quietly

    excerpt:

"When Trump says “it depends,” here’s the problem: He has never competed in an election that he acknowledged as fair.

Even when he won the presidential election of 2016, he claimed that Hillary Clinton and the Democrats rigged the count to deny him a popular-vote landslide, contending without evidence that millions of noncitizens had voted in California. The official inquiry he ordered up found no significant irregularities."

Former Lt. governor of GA, Duncan, says he's voting for Biden in November.

Former Georgia Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan says he is voting for Biden in November

    excerpt:

“Donald Trump’s not a Republican. He doesn’t represent our brand. He doesn’t represent our future. He’s a horrible human being at this point, we’re watching that play out hour by hour in the courtroom,” Duncan said. “It’s time to move on. If we’re going to heal as a party and truly get back to doing the things that we should do – and that’s be conservative but not angry or crazy or liars – we should turn the page immediately from Donald Trump.”
