Rep. Burlison claims Biden will be jacked up on Mountain Dew for presidential debate.

Trump drinks copious amounts of diet cokes that have caffeine.

MAGA’s New Conspiracy to Defend Trump From Biden Debate Is Wildest Yet

    excerpt:

“Any patient or elderly individual or someone that has dementia, they can find some moments of clarity, right? They can find moments throughout the day that they have energy. I think Trump’s team should not underestimate Joe Biden and his team’s ability to, you know, whether they’re gonna jack him up on Mountain Dew or whatever it is,” he said.

Speaking of both secret government documents and Diet Coke.

Secret government documents stored behind diet cokes at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump used the excuse that he didn't want to let investigators confiscate the boxes with the secret government documents in them because his personal belongings like his golf pants were mixed in with them.

Now he's saying the criminal case should be dismissed because his personal belongs were jostled around in the boxes after confiscation and are no longer in the same locations, which violateed his due process rights.

Judge Cannon is entertaining such notions.

Trump's attorneys are arguing to Judge Cannon that the FBI search was done illegally because they searched the rooms of Melania and Barron.

Trump has shown that he would store secret government documents anywhere, including on a stage in a ballroom, in the bathroom, and in a storage room in the basement near a swimming pool. The FBI needed to search all the rooms.

Newly released photos from FBI's Mar-a-Lago search show Trump keepsakes alongside sensitive records

    excerpt:

"Smith's team, though, argued in his latest filing that there is no basis for throwing out the charges against Trump because of a disruption of the precise order of documents seized from Mar-a-Lago.

"Trump personally chose to keep documents containing some of the nation's most highly guarded secrets in cardboard boxes along with a collection of other personally chosen keepsakes of various sizes and shapes from his presidency," prosecutors on the special counsel's team said."

Opinion | Hillary Clinton: I’ve Debated Trump and Biden. Here’s What I’m Watching For.

    excerpt:

"It is a waste of time to try to refute Mr. Trump’s arguments like in a normal debate. It’s nearly impossible to identify what his arguments even are. He starts with nonsense and then digresses into blather. This has gotten only worse in the years since we debated. I was not surprised that after a recent meeting, several chief executives said that Mr. Trump, as one journalist described it, “could not keep a straight thought” and was “all over the map.” Yet expectations for him are so low that if he doesn’t literally light himself on fire on Thursday evening, some will say he was downright presidential.

Mr. Trump may rant and rave in part because he wants to avoid giving straight answers about his unpopular positions, like restrictions on abortion, giving tax breaks to billionaires and selling out our planet to big oil companies in return for campaign donations. He interrupts and bullies — he even stalked me around the stage at one point — because he wants to appear dominant and throw his opponent off balance."

TN man pleads guilty to felony.

Tennessee man admits to smashing glass door at Capitol on Jan. 6 | wusa9.com

    excerpt:

WASHINGTON — A Tennessee man who used medical scissors to smash a glass door leading into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts for his role in the riot.

Allan Jennings, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty to one felony count of civil disorder and one misdemeanor count pf destruction of government property. He could face a recommended sentencing guideline of as low as four months or as high as 18, depending upon whether a judge rules his actions carried a conscious or reckless risk of death or serious bodily injury.

Trump expressed concern that returning classified docs after subpoena could result in criminal charges, according to sealed notes

    excerpt:

"Well what if we, what happens if we just don't respond at all or don't play ball with them?" Trump asked, according to a portion of the notes included in the indictment.

"Well, there's a prospect that they could go to a judge and get a search warrant and that they could arrive here and get a search warrant," Corcoran responded.

According to Corcoran, Trump repeatedly asked during their meeting if it would be "better if we just told them we don't have anything here."

Trump apparently is reading the poem about the poisonous snake (that bites its caring owner and kills her) at his rallies to try to convey his thoughts about the country accepting immigrants who he thinks subsequently turn on the country by engaging in nefarious behavior.

The GOP higher ups in Congress, like Mitch McConnell, are the ultimate. They accepted Trump the poisonous snake, got bitten by him and nearly killed at the Capitol during his insurrection, then years later welcomed him back in to the Capitol.

The Republicans in Congress have shown that no nefarious behavior by Trump would be enough for them to dispose him.

The House and Senate will likely remain nearly evenly divided after the 2024 election. If Trump is reelected, attempts to impeach and remove him would be highly unlikely to succeed.

Removal via the 25th Amendment is unlikely. His own cabinet would have to remove him which he will stack with extreme loyalists if he's reelected, a situation worse than his first term where some of his cabinet members had rational thought (Elaine Chao resigned the day after Trump's insurrection).

The removal of Trump from a second term via a prison sentence is unlikely. Trump would have the two current federal criminal cases against him dismissed or stymied by a loyalist AG that he appoints.

Cannon has various experienced magistrates who could have taken some of the work load off her (in part that she inflicted onto herself by entertaining numerous flimsy arguments that most experienced trial judges would have dismissed outright). She hasn't accepted magistrate assistance.

She could have turned the case over to someone more experienced at the start in 2022 but decided to accept the case with her lacking of experience.

A major loss for her (in the rational world) early in the case in December 2022 was the 11th Circuit overturning her assignment of a special master to Trump in September 2022. On the positive side for her (in her mind), she caused a three-month delay in the case for Trump.

Judge Cannon also has the ambiguity of Melania.

Melania, when are you going to start showing up at Trump's 2024 campaign events?

Melania: Maybe sometime down the road. Stay tuned!

Judge Cannon, when are you going to finally start making some rulings in the documents case?

Cannon: Probably at some point in the not too distant future. Stay tuned!

When Newsmax interviews Trump, it puts a disclaimer on the screen saying that it accepts the 2020 election results as legal and final when Trump starts up on his 'stolen election' mantra.

Opinion | The unmistakable evidence that Judge Cannon is unfit for Trump’s classified docs case

    excerpt:

"Judges set trial dates. It’s kind of what they do. It’s important to have a date-certain for trial because all intermediate deadlines in a criminal case are driven by that timeline. Once a trial date is set, judges will set deadlines for motions to be filed, litigated and resolved in advance of and dependent upon the trial date. Simply stated: No trial date, no intermediate deadlines need to be set.

But because there’s no trial date, Cannon has deigned to set seemingly endless evidentiary hearings on motion after motion, mostly from Trump’s team. Adding insult to legal injury, Cannon is holding lengthy hearings on motions that most outside observers consider frivolous."
