Police fatally shoot man about one mile from RNC convention site. Police shooting that leaves 1 dead near Republican National Convention angers Milwaukee residents
Cannon could have dismissed the documents case two years ago when Jack Smith started the investigation by claiming that Smith didn't have the authority to prosecute Trump or even investigate him. An opinion by Clarence Thomas wasn't needed, although perhaps Cannon didn't know enough about that worn-out ploy against a special counsel (that has never succeeded in court) until Thomas mentioned it to her in July 2024. She used rope-a-dope tactics (like assigning a special master which the 11th Circuit threw out) for about two years until finally dismissing the case altogether.
Blacks don't seem to be in attendance at Trump's rallies, excerpt for ones planted behind Trump on the stage.. Neither do gays. At a rally, Trump once pointed out a black person in the audience and said, "There's our black person." Not many gay pride signs are seen at a Trump rally.
Article from October 2020. Donald Trump just sent invites to a ‘Trump Pride’ rally with no mention of LGBT+ people – or his 181 attacks on the community Written by Lily Wakefield Oct 13, 2020 Donald Trump just sent invites to a ‘Trump Pride’ rally with no mention of LGBT+ people – or his 181 attacks on the community excerpt: "Donald Trump is hold a “Trump Pride” rally Tuesday (October 13) in what is perhaps the most confusing plot twist of 2020. The invitation to “Trump Pride”, a free event in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, was released Saturday (October 10) — just three days before the event is set to take place — and contained no mention of the LGBT+ community whatsoever. The only details revealed were that the event would be hosted by the president’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, and Richard Grenell, who served previously as Trump’s interim director of national intelligence and was the first of very few gay officials in the Trump administration. A screenshot of the invite was shared on Twitter by SiriusXM host Michelangelo Signorile, who wrote: “Look at this closeted event, in which neither ‘gay’ nor ‘LGBTQ’ is mentioned, Trump himself is not involved, and the whole thing is in code: ‘Pride’ in rainbow letters.” Signorile noted: “They’ve not announced this anywhere, lest the religious right find out."
Reminiscent of Archie Bunker and his white, male 'Kings of Queens' club. He needed to mention it to blacks due to Equal Opportunity statutes. He begrudgingly showed a couple black guys the description of the club and said, "Here's a list of all the events you don't have to attend."
During the 2024 campaign, Trump is quietly using Melania, who's been missing in action, to try to appeal to the LGBT community without the religious right finding out. The main premise is that LGBT will supposedly benefit like everyone else from Trump's economic policies. Trump ignores Pride Month in favor of broader pitch to LGBTQ voters
Trump ignores Pride Month in favor of broader pitch to LGBTQ voters excerpt: "The Biden campaign has marked Pride Month with a blitz of advertisements, interviews and engagements with local LGBTQ groups and prominent figures to try and motivate voters ahead of November. Former President Trump’s campaign is taking a decidedly different approach. The Trump campaign has done nothing specific to mark Pride Month, a move reminiscent of the multiple years while Trump was in the White House when he did not issue a proclamation recognizing the month of celebration for the LGBTQ community. Instead, Trump and his allies are making a broader pitch that his policies on the economy and the border will benefit LGBTQ Americans, just as they would benefit other communities, even as the former president attacks transgender athletes and vows to reverse transgender student protections enacted by the Biden administration."
Billionaire Thiel who fueled the rise of Trump's clone, Vance.. All of the billionaires, Big Social Media, and Big Tech figureheads that Trump supposedly hates helped make Vance his VP.. The billionaire who fueled JD Vance's rapid rise to the Trump VP spot — analysis excerpt: "Since then, Vance has received entrée to other tech mega-investors and was instrumental in organizing a $12 million fundraiser for Trump in June that included venture capitalists Chamath Paldihapitiya, an early senior executive at Facebook, and David Sacks, who was a key figure in developing Paypal, served as its COO and later founded the social networking service Yammer. Sacks previously chipped in $1 million of his personal fortune to a pro-Vance super PAC, according to FEC records."
RJF Jr. apologizes after leaked phone call that reveals Trump's view about vaccinations and what appeared to be a deal offered by Trump to have RFK Jr. endorse him. RFK Jr. is not apologizing to the public. He's apologizing to Trump for not turning off a video recording that captured his phone call with Trump that was leaked by the son of RFK Jr. RFK Jr apologises after leaked phone call in which Trump seems to offer deal excerpt: "The independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr apologised to Donald Trump on Tuesday, after Kennedy’s son posted video and audio of a call between the two men in which Trump made bizarre remarks about vaccines and babies, as well as appearing to offer Kennedy some sort of political deal. “When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer,” Kennedy said. “I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologise to the president.” The call was apparently made before Trump and Kennedy’s later meeting on Monday at the Republican national convention in Milwaukee, reportedly to discuss the possibility of Kennedy endorsing Trump. The recording was posted online by Kennedy’s son, Bobby Kennedy III, with the message: “I am a firm believer that these sorts of conversations should be had in public. Here’s Trump giving his real opinion to my dad about vaccinating kids – this was the day after the assassination attempt.”"
https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-assassination-shot-07-16-24/index.html excerpt: "The searing picture of a nation in dystopian decline that defines the ex-president’s politics was largely missing on the first night of the Republican National Convention. In its place was a sense of the divine — a pulsating belief in miracles among thousands of Republican delegates and a feeling that God spared their hero after he was nearly killed in an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Thousands of Trump supporters in Milwaukee on Monday night hailed their leader, elevating him from MAGA superhero to saint-like status. Trump, a white bandage over his wounded right ear, stood below the stands of the Milwaukee Bucks NBA arena. He didn’t speak to the crowd, but mouthed “thank you” over and over again."
https://www.axios.com/2024/07/14/trump-assassination-attempt-martyr-rnc excerpt: "Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), a frontrunner to be named Trump's running mate this week, tweeted that the Biden campaign's rhetoric about the threat Trump poses to democracy "led directly" to the attempted assassination. Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) called on the Republican district attorney in Butler County, Pa., to "immediately file charges" against Biden for "inciting an assassination." Trump campaign senior adviser Chris LaCivita tweeted — then deleted —a post tying the shooting to Trump's prosecutions and past Democratic attempts to remove him from state ballots."
Vance is 39 years old, half the age of Trump. Vance is seen as a clone of Trump who could have two terms as president after a second term of Trump.

After sitting on the fence, Elon Musk has gone full Trump by endorsing him (just after the assassination attempt) and donating $45 million a month to a Trump-aligned super PAC. He's going full fringe elsewhere. Trump on Tuesday called the family of his supporter who died during the assassination attempt. On Monday, his wife told the New York Post he had not yet called excerpt: "Helen Comperatore told the Post her family did receive a call from President Joe Biden, but that she did not speak with him. "I didn't talk to Biden. I didn't want to talk to him," she said. "My husband was a devout Republican, and he would not have wanted me to talk to him." While some Republicans, including Vance, blamed Biden's rhetoric for the attempted assassination of Trump, the FBI has not identified a motive for the shooting. Helen Comperatore said she did not think Biden was responsible for her husband's death. She told the Post she is voting for Trump but that she is not very involved in politics. "I don't have any ill-will towards Joe Biden," she said, adding, "He didn't do anything to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did.""
Judge Aileen Cannon dismisses Trump classified documents case excerpt: "Smith can appeal the dismissal and the Supreme Court may ultimately determine the lawfulness of Smith's appointment. No other justices joined Thomas' opinion but Smith's appointment wasn't at issue in the immunity case, so it's unclear how many other justices may agree with Thomas."
Opinion | Judge Aileen Cannon has proved her critics right excerpt: "Cannon dismissed those prior rulings in her decision, along with Smith’s arguments that his role is as an “inferior officer” who is accountable to the attorney general. Instead, she sided with a concurring opinion from Justice Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court’s decision that granted Trump broad immunity in the federal case relating to his alleged 2020 election interference. (She also ruled against Smith on the Appropriations Clause challenge, but since the Appointments Clause decision was enough to dismiss the case did not go as in-depth in her analysis.) Canon’s ruling also cuts off the chance that a newly named special counsel, one who is already a Senate-confirmed U.S. attorney, could simply pick up where Smith left off. Instead, under her ruling Smith’s investigation would now be invalidated, as he was never legally authorized to conduct it. And while the ruling doesn’t directly affect the election interference case in Washington, as it is not binding on the judge overseeing it, it provides a new method to stall those proceedings even further once they’re finally resumed."
Appeals court won't hear arguments on Fani Willis' role in Georgia Trump case until after election excerpt: "A Georgia appeals court has set a December hearing for arguments on the appeal of a lower court ruling allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to continue to prosecute the election interference case she brought against former President Donald Trump."
