In earlier decades, the U.S. public mocked people similar to today's Trump who were leaders or candidates in troubled countries who made utterly irrational, bombastic remarks. Example: Americans ridiculing Idi Amin for proposing a boxing match to settle his dispute with another country. Today it's Trump challenging Biden to a golf match, and Americans actually praise it.
Have you EVER seen tRump hit a ball? What a fucked up swing. It's comical. He always says he wins, but never tells any scores...

Justice Department alumni endorse Harris. Fearing a Trump takeover, Justice Department alumni endorse Kamala Harris excerpt: "Former and current Justice Department employees believe that a future president Harris, a former prosecutor, unlike Trump, would respect the norms that have been in place to ensure DOJ independence in the half-century since Watergate. Those fears of another Trump term are central to a new letter endorsing Harris, signed by more than 40 former Justice Department officials who served under presidents of both parties. They include former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former deputy attorneys general Sally Yates, David Ogden and Jamie Gorelick, and John McKay, who was appointed as a top federal prosecutor in Washington state during the George W. Bush administration, among others."
Harris has critics for being a former prosecutor. But Trump is an autocrat who would dismantled the DOJ and install his personal loyalists. He has said he will use the DOJ to retaliate against his perceived enemies. Even Bill Barr didn't agree with that statement by Trump. Barr said that abusing the DOJ isn't the answer even if one thinks it's been abused by the other party. Trump's remark was that he's forced to abuse the DOJ if he thinks the other party did it.
Trump thinks his 2024 victory is assured based on Trump lawn signs in Florida. He says don't worry about insufficient votes Trump claims victory based on lawn signs, says votes unnecessary —"We don't need the votes. I have so many votes."
When Trump legitimately lost the 2020 election, he claimed that he couldn't have lost because he saw so many Trump lawn signs.

Bragg's office tells state judge to reject motion to toss fraud conviction. Trump is currently scheduled to be sentenced on September 18. He was originally scheduled to be sentenced about four days before the start of the GOP convention but received a lucky break from the Supreme Court's immunity ruling which gave him an opportunity to argue that the conviction should be thrown out. Manhattan DA to judge: Reject Trump's bid to toss conviction using immunity
The Supreme Court immunity ruling in July 2024 has given Trump latitude in battling various cases against him. It allowed him to delay his sentencing in the NY fraud case until after the 2024 GOP convention. The ruling itself wasn't the only lucky break for Trump. Clarence Thomas used the ruling to inject his opinion, extraneous to the ruling, that Jack Smith didn't have the authority to prosecute Trump. About two weeks later, Judge Cannon dismissed the entire documents case against Trump.
It can be anticipated that the issue of the authority of Jack Smith to prosecute Trump will eventually end up in the U.S. Supreme Court. It will first be heard by a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit. Jack Smith has already appealed it to the 11th Circuit. If Trump loses, he could appeal it to the full 11th Circuit or the U.S. Supreme Court. Thomas has already made his opinion known that he thinks Jack Smith doesn't have the authority. It's not known what the other justices of the Supreme Court think because they didn't take the liberty like Thomas did to spout off an opinion that was not relevant to the immunity ruling.

He will do it regardless. Even if there’s clear cut evidence that proves the other party had nothing to do with whatever Trump thinks he’s being victimized for, he’ll spin it in such a way to justify his actions. It’s all shit. He destroys everything he touches.
