Trump says he would encourage 'stop and frisk'.

Who? His rioters stopping and frisking the police?

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/09/us/politics/debate-trump-age-capacity.html

    excerpt:

"He has mixed up Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi, declared more than once that he beat Barack Obama instead of Hillary Clinton and while arguing that he is mentally fit gave the wrong name for his former doctor. During a June rally in Nevada, he wandered into a bizarre rhetorical cul-de-sac speculating about being on a sinking boat and whether it would be better to be electrocuted in the water or attacked by a shark. “I’ll take electrocution every single time,” he volunteered. “I’m not getting near the shark. So we could end that. We’re going to end that for boats.”"

Half of the U.S. wants Trump president again. He has a reasonable chance of winning.

He could be permanently confined to a ward and babbling gibberish, and people would still want him to be president again.

He's not far from it now. He's just not yet confined to a ward.

Lichtman predicted Trump would win in 2016.

Lichtman's said that Hillary Clinton had only 6 out of 13 keys.

For the 2024 election, Lichtman says that Harris has at least 8 of 13 keys.

    13 Keys Prediction

    excerpt:

“The Keys show that elections are not horse races in which candidates surge ahead or fall behind on the campaign trail, with pollsters keeping score,” says Lichtman. “Rather, a pragmatic American electorate chooses a president according to the performance of the party holding the White House as measured by the consequential events and episodes of a term — economic boom and bust, foreign policy successes and failures, social unrest, scandal, and policy innovation.

“Donald Trump has made this the most difficult election I’ve had to assess since 1984. We’ve never before seen a candidate like Donald Trump, which suggests this election could go either way. Nobody should be complacent. No matter who you’re for, you’ve got to get out and vote. History shows that nations decline because of the apathy, not the actions, of good people.”

When asked about child care, Trump talked about his import tariffs.

For Trump, It usually comes back to import tariffs and the Mexican border. Keeping out some perceived foreign ailment

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/06/us/politics/trump-vance-child-care.html

    excerpt:

“And we’re sitting down — you know, I was somebody — we had Senator Marco Rubio and my daughter Ivanka was so impactful on that issue,” Mr. Trump continued, referring to the pair’s previous push for paid family leave and expanding the child tax credit. “It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about that — because the child care is, child care, it’s, couldn’t, you know, there’s something, you have to have it. In this country, you have to have it.

“But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about, by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to, but they’ll get used to it very quickly — and it’s not going to stop them from doing business with us, but they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we’re talking about, including child care, that it’s going to take care.”

Well, they successfully delayed early voting for weeks here in NC since they have to remove Kennedy from the millions of printed ballots. Nah, no voter suppression there. So, who gets the printing bill?

A remark Trump made about Biden in the 2024 presidential debate should be leveled at Trump: “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either."

For Trump, it's the whole one-hour and 45-minute speech, not just the end of a sentence.
