Trump was actually factual when he said publicly that supply chains needed to be fixed to lower inflation. He's wrong with his trade war approach that will disrupt them.

Trump's tariffs during his first term didn't go into effect until 2018. They weren't as agressive compared to what he's threatening to implement now.

Supply chains during most of Trump first term hadn't yet been compromised by the pandemic.

The world economy was suppressed by the pandmic, which lowered consumer demand which lowered demand-pull inflation.

Navarro has blind faith in Trump no matter how severe his tariff wars or any other policies.
