Ted Cruz ensured Trump spending bill slashed weather forecasting funding

    excerpt:

"Ted Cruz has had quite a week. On Tuesday, the Texas senator ensured the Republican spending bill slashed funding for weather forecasting, only to then go on vacation to Greece while his state was hit by deadly flooding, a disaster critics say was worsened by cuts to forecasting.

Cruz, who infamously fled Texas for Cancun when a crippling winter storm ravaged his state in 2021, was seen visiting the Parthenon in Athens with his wife, Heidi, on Saturday, a day after a flash flood along the Guadalupe River in central Texas killed more than 100 people, including dozens of children and counselors at a camp."

Joe Rogan May Become Donald Trump’s Biggest Problem

    excerpt:

    — “That’s bad for the cause. Like, the cause is, ‘let’s get the gang members out.’ Everybody agrees. But not an innocent gay hairdresser get lumped up with the gangs and then, like, how long before that guy can get out? Can we figure out how to get him out? Is there any plan in place to alert the authorities that they’ve made a horrible mistake and correct it?”

    — “If you think about it from a government perspective, and this is where I think it gets quite sinister, it’s once you’ve done that, the incentive structure is never going to be to admit that and deal with it. The incentive structure is to say nothing, to cover it up, to pretend it didn’t happen,” Kisin said.

    Rogan couldn’t contain his outrage.

    — “It’s horrible!”, the podcaster lamented. “that’s the thing about politics, right? Never admit your fault. Never admit you’re wrong. So dumb.”

After endorsing Trump in 2024, Joe Rogan sounds like he just woke up a little about Trump, like Trump starting to talk about Putin like he might not be such a nice guy.

Mark Ruffalo Calls Out "Dumb" Joe Rogan Over Trump & ICE Abductions Awakening

    excerpt:

“Well, I don’t think if they, the Trump administration, if they’re running and they said, we’re gonna go to Home Depot and we’re gonna arrest all the people at Home Depot, we’re gonna go to construction sites, and we’re gonna just, like, tackle people at construction sites,” he added. “I don’t think anybody would have signed up for that. They said, we’re gonna get rid of the criminals and the gang members first, right? And now we’re, we’re seeing, like, Home Depots get raided. Like, that’s crazy.”

Joe Rogan endorsed Trump after having seen him at the debate with Harris telling the public with all his heart that immigrants were abducting and eating dogs and cats in Ohio.

Rogan is now frustrated that Trump is deporting immigrants who aren't criminals.

Mark Ruffalo Calls Out "Dumb" Joe Rogan Over Trump & ICE Abductions Awakening

    excerpt:

"Masked, mainly badgeless and heavily armed ICE agents or individuals working with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement unit have been swarming Home Depots, factories, car washes and homes throughout Southern California, Chicago and New York over the last month. In early June, as protests rose up in LA over the raids, Trump federalized the California National Guard and mobilized 700 U.S. Marines to quell the dissent. Often lacking a valid warrant, and refusing to properly identify themselves, the agents have been plucking people off the streets based on what appears to be their skin color, snagging U.S. citizens and legal residents repeatedly in the process — as well as one U.S. Senator and a NYC Mayorial candidate."

During his visit to the White House and after the two bombed Iran, Netanyahu said he will nominate Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Netanyahu and Trump are trying to deport the Palestinians from Gaza, this time calling it 'free choice' by the Palestinians.

Netanyahu nominates Trump for Nobel peace prize at White House meeting

    excerpt:

“It shouldn’t a prison,” Netanyahu said. “It should be an open place and give people a free choice. We’re working with the United States very closely about finding countries that will seek to realize what they always say they wanted – to give the Palestinians a better future. And … I think we’re getting close to finding several countries.”

The latest narrative is that Trump and Netanyahu are going to deport all the Palestianians out of Gaza by the free choice of Palestinians.

The article didn't say if ICE Barbie (Noem) was present.

It would have been another opportunity for her to put on yet another costume and join the gang of troops while they threaten and rough up people.

Partial list of tax deductions and goodies the GOP obtained in the budget bill that went unvetted by the public.

GOP megabill littered with special tax breaks

    excerpt:

"There’s a new supersized deduction for business meals — though only for employees at certain Alaskan fishing boats and processing plants, with the measure stipulating the facilities must be “located in the United States north of 50 degrees north latitude” though not in a “metropolitan statistical area.”

There’s a $17 billion expansion of a little-known provision that enables venture capitalists to make a fortune tax-free.

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) won a carve-out for the oil and gas industry from a minimum tax on big corporations that was created during the Biden administration.

There’s a $2 billion break important to the rum industry and, tangentially, Louisiana, said Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), a tax writer.

“We have the highest per capita intake of alcohol in the nation,” he said."

The Trump faithful liked the deportations until they started happening to them.

All of the people who will lose their Medicaid benefits and health insurance over the next ten years due to the trillion dollar cut in Medicaid can take solace in knowing that it is the result of the budget bill that passed the U.S. Senate by one vote because Sen. Murkowski voted yes for it after obtaining the deduction for business meals in non-metropolitan statistical areas of her state of Alaska.

During his first term, Trump confused the Nobel Prize with the Pulitzer Prize.

He wanted the Pulitzer Prize to be taken away from journalists he didn't like and mistakenly referred to it as the 'Noble' Prize, misspelling the word 'Nobel'.

Stephen Miller accuses immigrants of causing traffic problems.

Stephen Miller Is Now Yelling About Immigrants Causing Traffic

    excerpt:

“Every issue that affects our quality of life—public safety, drugs, crime, education, health care, waiting in the emergency room—all exacerbated, worsened, and undermined by mass illegal immigration,” Miller said.

“ICE officers are heroes, and they need the support of the American people. President Trump is liberating our towns, just as he promised, just as the American people overwhelmingly voted to give him a mandate to do just five months ago,” Miller added.

Republicans toe Trump line even in aftermath of deadly Texas floods

    excerpt:

But Republicans’ default response has been to express fealty to Donald Trump. They lavished praise on the president for providing federal assistance while studiously avoiding questions around the effect of his “department of government efficiency” (Doge) or threats to dismantle the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema).

“It is a sign of the sickness and dysfunction of what was the Republican party that they have almost no thoughts about their constituents,” said Rick Wilson, a cofounder of the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group. “Their thoughts are, how do I avoid making sure that Donald Trump doesn’t look at me as an enemy or a critic?

“Despite the fact that the Doge cuts and the reductions in force and the early buyouts have savaged the workforce of the National Weather Service, they can’t even utter the slightest vague, elliptical critique of the administration that is now engaged in these cuts that have cost the lives of the people they supposedly represent.”

A squeaker win with the popular vote is certainly not overwhelming.

Oh and all the brown people on the road, of course, are speeding, drunk, and driving without insurance. I hear some of them even do right on red with only slowing down...
