It's along the lines of Hitler showing a chart about how many people he gassed that is supposedly a part of divine intervention that saved his life from an assassin.
Heckler unnerves Homan and causes him to go into a lengthy juvenile rant. Border czar Tom Homan admits US citizens have been swept up in raids excerpt: "Homan had previously told Fox News on Friday that ICE agents “don't need probable cause to walk up to somebody, briefly detain them, and question them ... based on their physical appearance”. Without explanation of what he meant by “physical appearance”, it all but confirmed that Homan was directing agents to “briefly detain” (or more) people who they thought to be of Hispanic or Latino descent. The description matched a textbook case of racial profiling."
Hecklers can be of some purpose. They ratlle undisciplined people like Homan and show the public just how low a level they are on. They also cause someone like Homan to slip up verbally and unwittingly admit to unethical and illegal behavior. Homan is so caught up in his emotions of trying to get even with someone that he becomes oblivious to what he is saying and the injury he is inflicting onto himself.
Government data on ICE arrests don't agree with Trump's 'worst of the worst' guise. Trump says he wants to deport 'the worst of the worst.' Government data tells another story - The Economic Times
https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/13/politics/deportations-backfiring-trump-analysis excerpt: "Americans also appear to disagree with some of the more heavy-handed aspects of the deportation program: They disapproved 55-43% of significantly increasing the number of facilities to hold immigrants being processed for deportation, per Pew – even as the Trump administration celebrates Florida’s controversial new “Alligator Alcatraz.” They said by a nearly 2-to-1 margin that it’s “unacceptable” to deport an immigrant to a country other than their own, per Pew – another key part of the administration’s efforts. They also disapproved, 61-37%, of deporting undocumented immigrants to a prison in El Salvador – the place where the administration sent hundreds without due process, in some cases in error (such as with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who has since been returned)."

Why has Trump hit Canada with a 35 percent trade tariff? excerpt: "USMCA came into force on July 1, 2020, replacing the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). It is supposed to be reviewed every six years, and since Trump returned to office, it has been blighted by disputes and non-compliance issues. Some trade commentators have suggested the agreement won’t be extended next summer. Trump’s Canada announcement this week also came after officials in Ottawa denounced yet another separate US plan to impose a 50 percent import tariff on copper earlier this week. Canada is one of the largest suppliers of the metal to the United States."
Why has Trump hit Canada with a 35 percent trade tariff? excerpt: "Canadian government data shows that less than 0.1 percent of all seizures of fentanyl entering the US, from 2022-2024, were made at the Canadian border."
Trump will use that as an excuse for more exorbitant tariffs on Canada, saying that 0.1% being so small proves that Canada isn't doing enough to stop what he fantasizes to be a huge smuggling of fentanyl across the Canadian border.
Trump was upset about Canada planning to impose a 3% digital use tax on the U.S. Trump called it a blatant attack on the U.S. Canada never imposed the tariff.
Trump's big, beautiful bill causing problems for state politicians. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/14/trump-megabill-budget-nightmare-states-00449924 excerpt: And this is all happening as up to 20 state leaders face reelection in 2026, forcing them to figure out how to message the fallout as their parties battle for control over the House next year. “We don’t put these budgets together that have a lot of fluff and rainy day funds that are easily accessible,” said Democratic Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, who chairs the Democratic Governors Association. “All of us are trying to figure out how to mitigate the damage that will be done to our constituents.” Kelly, whose term ends next year, said governors across the country are now in “a world of hurt and concern.”
Two-thirds of the DOJ unit defending Trump policies in court have quit By Andrew Goudsward July 14, 20251:29 PM UTC https://www.reuters.com/legal/litig...ng-trump-policies-court-have-quit-2025-07-14/
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/14/trump-megabill-budget-nightmare-states-00449924 excerpt: "The federal clawbacks are so significant that governors are warning they are entirely unable to make up the difference. “It’s billions of dollars that we don’t have,” Hobbs said as the Senate passed the bill. “Even if we cut every single thing in the state, we don’t have the money to backfill all these cuts.” By design, the bulk of the Medicaid and SNAP changes won’t take effect until after the midterms, a legislative maneuver intended to shield Republicans from immediate electoral consequences that could also give governors more time to reconfigure state funding formulas. But state appropriators say they are already mapping out how to account for the steep federal losses, and may need to start moving around funds in next year’s budgets."
Republicans think they might be able to hang on to the House for another two years after the 2026 midterms by delaying the cuts. That would be enough to cover Trump's second term. Even if they did, Trump's big, beautiful bill will affect politicians for the upcoming decade long after Trump is out of office.
