Pregnant women vaccinated against COVID-19 less likely to be hospitalized or deliver prematurely, new data show

    excerpt:

"Pregnant women who develop COVID-19 after being vaccinated are much less likely to be hospitalized, need intensive care, or deliver early compared with women who aren’t vaccinated, a study today shows.

Canadian researchers who examined the medical records of nearly 20,000 women who developed COVID-19 while pregnant, found that vaccinated women were 62% less likely to be hospitalized than unvaccinated women and 90% less likely to need critical care, according to the study, published in JAMA."

Doctor groups form united front against RFK Jr’s efforts to limit vaccine access

    excerpt:

“Children will acquire hepatitis B and die as a result of these recommendations,” said Aaron M. Milstone, MD, representing the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). “My colleagues or I, not a committee member, will be the ones supporting the parents of adying child and trying to explain how they were let down and lost a child from a preventable infection.”

Healthy Returns: FDA may add its strongest safety warning to Covid vaccines. Here’s what to know

    excerpt:

"The Food and Drug Administration may add its strongest safety warning to Covid shots — marking another major shift in vaccine oversight.

It could also expand a string of actions by Trump administration health officials that some health experts say could weaken confidence in the shots, which have saved millions of lives worldwide since they were introduced. Uptake of those vaccines is already plummeting: The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, citing IQVIA data, said last week that there has been a 27% decrease in Covid vaccinations from retail pharmacies since 2024."

A label that Trump's FDA could issue:

WARNING: Research study shows that those who are vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine have a 74% lower risk of death from severe COVID-19 and a 25% lower risk of death from any cause."

Judge tosses wild lawsuit by Stepen Miller.

Miller is trying to put the U.S. Supreme Court under the control of Trump to further consolidate his power.

Wild suit claiming Chief Justice Roberts is actually part of executive branch crashes and burns

    excerpt:

U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, rejected the lawsuit's fundamental contention that Chief Justice John Roberts exercises powers that fall under the "ambit" of the executive branch and place him, in one role, under the supervision and control of the president.

Trump’s EEOC chair issues PSA to white men telling them they can claim money for race and gender discrimination

    excerpt:

“Are you a white male who’s experienced discrimination at work based on your race or sex? You may have a claim to recover money under federal civil rights laws,” said Andrea Lucas, appointed by President Donald Trump, in a video message posted online on Wednesday.

    Wiles interview with Vanity Fair.

Wiles said Trump had an alcoholic personality and referred to Musk as a strange duck.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/16/politics/takeaways-susie-wiles-interview

    excerpt:

Wiles indicated that Elon Musk’s approach to the Department of Government Efficiency was just as chaotic and careless as it seemed from the outside. “Elon’s attitude is you have to get it done fast,” Wiles said, adding: “But no rational person could think the USAID process was a good one. Nobody.” She also suggested much of the chaos was linked to his alleged use of ketamine.

“He’s an avowed ketamine (user),” Wiles said, adding “I think that’s when he’s microdosing.”

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/12/politics/education-department-civil-rights-office-mission

    excerpt:

"Once one of the largest federal civil rights agencies, OCR was among the hardest hit by layoffs at the Department of Education in March, as part of the DOGE-led effort to shrink the size of the federal government.

The Trump administration shuttered seven of its twelve regional offices and laid off nearly half of its staff. The office went from more than 550 employees to just over 300. Additional terminations came during the government shutdown in October, and multiple sources estimate around 100 employees remained."

“We are led by the most loathsome human being ever to occupy the White House.
In every grotesque social media post; in every cabinet meeting devoted, North Korea-like, to adulating him; in every executive-order-signing ceremony intended to make him appear like a Chinese emperor; in every fawning reference to all the peace he’s supposedly brought the world; in every Neronic enlargement of the White House’s East Wing; in every classless dig at his predecessor; in every shady deal his family is striking to enrich itself; in every White House gathering of tech billionaires paying him court (in the literal senses of both “pay” and “court”); in every visiting foreign leader who learns to abase himself to avoid some capricious tariff or other punishment — in all this and more, our standards as a nation are being debased, our manners barbarized.”
