The earlier attempts by Trump to stop off-shore wind power were stopped by the courts.

Now Trump is claiming national security issues to try to circumvent those court rulings against him.

    https://theday.com/news/825899/trump-halts-revolution-wind-four-other-offshore-wind-projects/

    excerpt:

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, who previously joined a coalition of attorneys general in a successful lawsuit to block Trump's previous order to freeze wind energy project permits, was quick to criticize the move by the Trump administration.

“This appears to be a second, even more lawless and erratic stop work order, reviving the Trump Administration’s prior failed attempt to halt construction of Revolution Wind. We went to court over this before," Tong said in a statement. "There is a court order blocking their prior stop work order and this appears to be a new brazen attempt to circumvent that order."

Christmas Eve jazz concert at Kennedy canceled.

Kennedy Center Christmas Eve jazz concert canceled after Trump name added to building

    excerpt:

“When I saw the name change on the Kennedy Center website and then hours later on the building, I chose to cancel our concert,” Redd told The Associated Press in an email Wednesday. Redd, a drummer and vibraphone player who has toured with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Ray Brown, has been presiding over holiday “Jazz Jams” at the Kennedy Center since 2006, succeeding bassist William “Keter” Betts.

    The national security ploy again.

Trump declares NY Times to be national security threat.

Trump, 79, Declares Absurd National Security Threat in Late-Night Meltdown

    excerpt:

Donald Trump has accused The New York Times of being a national security threat in an unhinged Truth Social post.

“The Failing New York Times, and their lies and purposeful misrepresentations, is a serious threat to the National Security of our Nation,” Trump wrote in a late-night social media meltdown.

Perhaps Trump can invoke the Alien Enemies Act for wind power, declaring that the wind is an enemy that is invading the U.S. and posing a threat to the profits of fossil fuel companies.

If there is less tartar sauce now it's because businesses are cutting corners to try to mitigate the higher prices that Trump's trade wars have caused.

Another option is to curtail workers. It explains why the labor market in the U.S. has been dismal since April 2025 when Trump started his trade wars in earnest.

Reducing worker pay is still another approach. It's the opposite of Trump's banners that say 'Bigger Paychecks' at his rallies in PA and NC the past week.

At the McDonald's conference, Trump rambled about the Gulf of Mexico.

Trump, 79, Makes Weird Noise as He Whines About McDonald’s

    excerpt:

“I said you’ve got to go to sugar, just like I said, ‘Why is the Gulf of Mexico called the Gulf of Mexico?’ I said, ‘We’re changing the name.’ And now it’s the Gulf of America,” he said, even though his Jan. 20 executive order only applies to agencies in the executive branch.

“Has nothing to do with McDonald’s, but maybe it does,” Trump then said while pointing his index finger at his temple and making a circular motion with it. “Because we have 92 percent of the shoreline... Wasn’t that a good change? Seriously, wasn’t that beautiful? And it was done in an instant. Normally you think a thing like that would take years. This took, like, 10 minutes.”

For those without a college degree, Trump's approval rating dropped from 50% in October 2025 to 46% in December 2025.

Donald Trump’s approval rating flips with least educated Americans

    excerpt:

"In October, 42 percent of college educated voters approved of Trump’s job, while 56 percent disapproved. Among noncollege educated voters, 50 percent approved of what the president was doing for the nation, while 47 percent disapproved, a net approval of +3.

In December, these number had changed significantly—especially among noncollege educated Americans. Only 46 percent of voters whose higher educational title was a high school diploma or less approved of the president’s job performance, while 49 percent disapproved of it and 5 percent were unsure."

Trump babbling about what nasty new name to call Greene.

'Frightening' moment ‘sweating’ Donald Trump deteriorates live on TV

    excerpts:

Trump was heard saying: “Then you have Marjorie Traitor Brown, I call her, because green turns to brown under stress, so I call her Traitor Brown, which I don’t like doing because two out of three words is too much to change. From Marjorie Taylor Greene I’m going Marjorie Traitor Brown, and a lot of people don’t understand… two words is too much to change. I actually like Marjorie Taylor Brown better, but everyone says Marjorie Traitor Greene is good.

He continued: “I say, ‘Marjorie, I can’t call you back. I just can’t call you back, I’m sorry’. And I wouldn’t call her back. And she goes onto a rant. Sorry about that. You can only go so far. Once a month, once every week or two weeks, but you can’t get a highly neurotic – her, not me, but I’m neurotic too. I think I’m probably very neurotic.”

Can the Kennedy Center Actually Be Renamed? Unpacking the Legality of Adding President Donald Trump's Name to the Memorial

    excerpt:

"Yes, the Kennedy Center can be renamed. But many legal experts argue that because the building was designated as an interactive memorial for the late president under Public Law 88-260, Congress must approve the new name for it to be official, The New York Times reported.

In 1983, a federal statute was passed that prohibits "additional memorials or plaques" in public spaces within the Kennedy Center, according to the Daily Wire. It's unclear whether changing the building's name falls under the category of a memorial or a plaque."

The word 'memorial' is still on the name on the outside of the Kennedy Center building along with Trump's name.

    'Memorial' indicates someone is dead.

It's unusual that Trump (or anyone) would put his name in front of a person whose death is being honored.

Trump will have an excuse for that one also, such as it is still a memorial because the deceased Kennedy name is still on it along with Trump even though Trump is still alive but, considering his age and declining health, will be gone not too long from now anyway.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump proffered that he was America First, wasn't a DC Pentagon insider, and wouldn't start up wars overseas like the more conventional GOP candidates and past presidents.

For those who don't like Trump, it was a Trump self-proclaimed attribute that even they might agree with in spite of all their other differences with him.

Even that attribute about Trump is gone.

He's now going down the same road by using the military to start fights with other countries.

US lawmakers condemn seizure of Venezuelan oil tanker: ‘Trump is sleepwalking us into a war’

    excerpt:

Rand Paul, a Republican senator of Kentucky, told NewsNation that “seizing someone’s oil tanker is an initiation of war” and questioned whether “it’s the job of the American government to go looking for monsters around the world, looking for adversaries and beginning wars”.

Trump tells children that he is making sure that a bad Santa isn't infiltrating the U.S.

    https://www.axios.com/2025/12/25/turmp-bad-santa-coal-christmas-calls-norad

    excerpt:

"We track Santa all over the world," Trump said. "We want to make sure that Santa is being good. Santa is a very good person.

"We want to make sure that he's not infiltrated, that we're not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa. But we found out that Santa is good, Santa loves you, Santa loves Oklahoma like I do. You know, Oklahoma was very good to me in the election so I love Oklahoma. Don't ever leave Oklahoma, OK?"

For Offshore wind projects: The payback period on the investment is longer than the useful economic life of the turbine.

The Houthi's closed The Red Sea by attacking and confiscating tankers. Our media went looking for different stories to avoid embarrassing our president.
Don't understand media solicitude for this dictator.
