I'll accept what you said about JFK but the North Korea issue is far from resolved. It is good that Trump switched from big tough talk and name calling to being civil with KJU. You always catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. Trump should use the same method of diplomacy with Iran. His constant ass kissing with Nothingyahoo does not look well on the color Telly.

I understand your angry that a Republican is our president. I don't like Trump either. But I don't forget the fucking this country has gotten by the Dems either.

Our days off insisting we have honorable politicians are probably gone for my lifetime. The best we can hope for is the people that aren't politicians can understand how to work out our differences. Trump has got the personal presence of a inbred pitbull.

But I admit we need some of what he wants to fix be done. I hope someone besides him can finish what he started without making me cringe to watch.

No we were talking about how he spent years telling us that N Korea was the biggest threat we had. That he didn't resolve at all. Now that it isn't, you wish to ignore who did.

Or hopefully did. I'd like to see more evidence that there are no nukes.

Don't hold your breath... North Korea is still as armed as they were before Trump. You act like it's all said and done. It's not.

Compromise was the old way that got Democrats and Republicans working to get the business of the nation accomplished. That was the unique thing that other nations could not master. America stood apart because it had a government which worked. Jeff Flake just demonstrated it could work again. He's no liberal but he did listen to Democrats and women. As far as the pit bull analogy goes, I am not buying it. Trump is a bully in the sense one would describe a loud mouth; but, lots of people describe him as Captain Bone Spurs, because he is a draft dodger. Moreover, I don't think he would last three minutes in a fight with a real working man, or a trained fighter like Macho Camacho, or Oscar De La Hoya, or Ron Lyle. Trump would wet himself if Mad Dog Mattis snarled at him.

North Korea is a huge threat, and not just because of their nuclear weapons. That was one reason Obama nixed the preemptive strikes, because of their conventional capabilities. They have laser capabilities, chemical capabilities, pulse bombs, 1,000 non nuclear ballistic missiles, 15 to 20 nuclear weapons, 950,000 personnel, over 4,000 tanks, and 8,6000 artillery pieces..among other weapons such as submarines, etc.

It's estimated the artillery alone can inflict from 3,000 to 30,000 South Korean civilian deaths in one day.

Trump hasn't resolved anything. They're still making nukes, he's praised Kim Jong-un and given him a world stage.
Today Ri Yong-ho said North Korea will not denuclearize.

Take a look at N Korea at night. Looks like a well prepared threat.

If they decide to launch again, I'd hope Trump vaporizes them once and for all. Way better than a 2 bit country pushing us around for 30 years.

Please review the military records of Obama and Clinton. Tell us all about their military service.

Jeff Flake provided a gift and an opportunity to try and offer compromise. He made the deal of no more than one week and limited in scope. The Dems agreed and praised him. Now the Dems demand a different deal. Sorry senator Flake. You got played.

There are indications that North Korea is continuing its nuclear weapons program. The history of that country since its inception has been one of deception and implacable hostility toward the United States. I'm concerned that Trump, in his eagerness to score political points, will settle for tokenism and hype progress toward peace while the North Korean threat continues to grow.
    North Korea 'continuing nuclear programme'
North Korea is still developing nuclear weapons, says IAEA
North Korea remains 'significant' nuclear threat, Trump pick for top US general in South Korea says
North Korea is still expanding its nuclear facilities, say experts

In Trump's mind, it's all about his falling in love with a dictator to garner a better crowd size.

Same response above applies here. It's obvious Obamas approach of a stern but loving talking to didn't de-escalate a thing. If Kim wants to test Trump, I suspect Trump won't be so understanding and kind.

If you think North Korea has been PUSHING America around for 30 years, well; I'm going to think you didn't go to college, or even rejected by the admissions office.

Neither Obama nor Clinton claimed they had bone spurs to avoid military service. The Republican miscreants always say, "look at Obama! Look at Hillary!" Well Jiminy Cricket that does not justify abusive behavior by the Republicans themselves! Why do Republicans always justify according to what Obama did or did not do? Why don't they lead the country in a proper way? Why did John Bolton tell the world, "The ICC is dead to us?" "Why does the Trump administration want the world to think America is a lawless criminal rogue nation?

I think Trump wants to build a hotel casino in North Korea so he can avoid paying taxes in America. By the way, has anyone heard anything about his taxes? All other presidents have been open about their taxes. All other presidents have provided us with a good example.

They have been extorting us for money to NOT aquire nuclear capabilities since 1985. That would be 33 years. Unless you have a liberal calculator that works differently.

Chronology of U.S.-North Korean Nuclear and Missile Diplomacy | Arms Control Association

Between 1995 and 2003 we had paid them $1.3B .

We agree to pay them in a great agreement to assure they follow the rules to not develop nuclear Then they do it anyway and we repeat the process with ever increasing "financial aid" subsidies. Kim learned it from his father, who learned it from his grandfather.

Why does the left find fault with Trump's lack of military service and not complain when their past heros provided no military service?

Oh yeah I forgot you feel they don't lie.

In 1964 Bill Clinton registered for the draft and was awarded a 2S deferment. Same thing I got. A 2S deferment is a student deferment which is active as long as you are a student in a recognized undergraduate higher institute of learning. Bill Clinton was enrolled in Georgetown University. In 1968 he graduated and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship. He was reclassified as 1A. His draft board then ordered him to undergo a physical, which he passed.
By this time he was in England attending Oxford. An order to report was issued 3 months later but delayed in the mail as it had to travel to England. Students were allowed to finish their terms before reporting. This would take him to the beginning of summer 1969.

He then returned to Arkansas and attempted to enlist in the Air Force and Naval officers programs. He failed the Air Force physical due to his sight and the Naval due to his hearing.
He then applied for the ROTC program and was admitted through the efforts of Republican Cliff Jackson, and the head of the Arkansas Republican party, and others. After a two hour interview he was accepted.
He was then issued a 1D status. Differed Reservist.
He was then scheduled to attend basic Reservist training the following summer.

In the meantime he returned to Oxford. While there he petitioned to have his 1D statues changed back to 1A.
Shortly thereafter the birthday system was implemented and Clinton's birthday came up 311th in line for call up. He was never called. If his number had been low he would have been drafted.

Mine was 14 but I was permitted to stay in college until completing my degree. By the time I graduated the draft had ended.
Nothing Clinton did was illegal and he attempted to enlist in two different services and was accepted by the ROTC.

There was no draft when Obama was of age.

Is there a relevant point here? Neither served time in the military.
