A significant number of U.S. troops had Trump hats for him to autograph on a secret visit that they were not told about. Maybe it was just a coincidence or that many troops simply have those hats ready in case Trump shows up on a surprise secret visit.

During his recent trip to Iraq and Germany, the President engaged with troops by signing red hats emblazoned with his "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan. Military and administration officials insisted it was permissible because the hats were personal items the troops brought to the event. But at the first stop in Iraq, the assembled troops had not been told the President was coming so it's unclear how they knew to bring the hats, or whether they were provided for them, one source said."

 

That's his White Christian Republican base!

 

The State of the Union address is coming up soon, and Pelosi told him to delay or put it in writing, because of the shut down. Schumer said the State of the Union is CLOSED! I pondered all that for a few minutes and here is what I see:

We have no safe drinking water, because there are no government water safety functions.
We have no safe food, because we have no food safety inspections.
We have no coastal safety, because we have no pay for the coast guard.
We have no mortgages, because we have no mortgage approvals.
We have no national parks, because we have no national park ranger payroll.
We have no social services, because we have no social service workers payroll.
We have no imports, because we have no customs inspections.
We have no NASA, because we don't have contractor pay.
We have no tax returns, because we have no tax processors.
We have no safe bridges, because we have no bridge safety inspectors.

What we do have is a government that is closed for business, so the robber barons can do anything they want.

 

A US Marine is detained by ICE. That seems pretty disrespectful to me. You get citazinship for service even if you are not from here. So not only do we need a wall we need to ship out the ones born here. It's not racism of course.

It's another example of Trump retaliating against someone, this time Pelosi. He also gets to snub NATO again, an act Putin will admire.

By canceling her use of a military flight, he's also politicizing the military. He also politicized the military when he signed Trump memorablia of troops in his visit to Germany and Iraq which was his version of the CODEL visit to Afghanistan that Pelosi and her group were going to do,

It was disproportionate for Trump to cancel the flight. Pelosi didn't say she was preventing Trump from doing his State of the Union address at the Congress. She said it would be better to delay it until after the shutdown had ended. She didn't get a response from Trump other than him canceling the flight for her trip with others to Afghanistan.

A proportionate response by Trump would have been a suggestion to Pelosi to delay the trip instead of canceling the flight while they were on the bus to the airport.

 

In a full-blown dictatorship, Trump would have shot Pelosi and her group like Jim Jones did to Congressman Leo Ryan and his group as they tried to board an airplane back to the U.S. after visiting Jonestown.

 

With the 2020 election looming............

57 percent of registered voters said they would definitely vote against President Donald Trump in the 2020 election
according to the latest poll from the PBS NewsHour, NPR and Marist.


Another 30 percent of voters said they would cast their ballot to support Trump.

If the Trump administration refused to give her asylum at a time when her life was in danger due to the likelihood of out right murder, then Trump is in some of our courts considered at least in part...responsible. Trump's oligarch buddies in Russia wanted her in a bad way. She had videos to backup her information and the Trump administration brushed her off.

 

It was wrong of Trump to cancel Pelosi’s flight to Afghanistan. But I wish he would’ve canceled her return flight.

 

Symbolic of Trump's demented mindset is the public disclosure on Twitter by Sarah Sanders of the letter he sent to Pelosi which deliberately blew the security cover of the planned trip to Afghanistan by the congressional delegation. Trump then suggested that they could do the trip anyway by using a commercial aircraft for the event whose security he intentionally compromised.

Excellent points Okiefreak. But here is something I have trouble with. You say most of the drugs come in through points of entry. I also hear that most illegal aliens come in the same way (at least we know who they are and that they are here). What I don’t get is if people and drugs are sneaking in across the border, HOW IN THE WORLD CAN WE KNOW HOW MANY?!?! We can’t. It’s unknowable. The wall would stop much of it. It would also degrade the horrific gang activity on the Mexican side. Coyotes are taking terrible advantage of people looking to cross. It would benefit both our countries.
