Coal is mentioned a lot in my environmental policy book. I found this quote, but nothing about the extent of coal powered electricity.

Consol Energy in Western West Virginia has a large export business. They ship to Far Asia, Japan, Korea, and Europe. The Asian market is on the upswing, the European is on a downswing.

Here's an article from Feb. 2019: Coal Under The Bus, State Of The Union Edition

Most of the time it is made from steam. The coal, nuke, or diesel are just ways to make steam from the water. Coal is common because it has been around for ages. People used to light their homes with whale oil years ago until they killed off most of the whales. Coal is now similarly a Has Been.

None of them would have given half their donation to a public service either. Taxes are theft after all.

U.S. farmers trying to rationalize their welfare checks from Trump is a symptom of a larger problem.

Trump lives for starting fights with others, perceiving that he won the battle, and trying to convince his followers of his perceived victory. With no end in sight, this has been his life since the 1980's over issues as trivial as his small hands fight he's been having with Vanity Fair since the 1990's.

Now his pathology is being impressed onto the international community in a fashion similar to his pre-president days of obsessive quests, such as wanting to have the biggest flag pole and party at Mar-a-Lago. The presidency offers him the ultimate narcissistic projection.

He doesn't care about the country, or the people. He only cares about himself.

Please explain the big problem .

One problem is that farmers were set up to supply the Chinese with soybeans . Prior to that the Chinese
were set up to accept the arrangement . Terry Brandstad , the current Ambassador to China , made many
trips to China as Governor of Iowa to facilitate this .

Farmers will not grow so many beans when China will feed itself . Then grow what ? oats and marijuana
    You deserve a good home-grown breakfast .

There is a new court paper filed today which makes it clear that Flynn told Mueller about obstruction and he also gave Mueller a tape recording of a telephone call from Trump's personal attorney. The obstruction picture is coming together nicely.

In this newest court file, there is an extensive list of contacts between Trump campaign and transition officials with Russian operatives. I heard on TV that there were over 19 such extensive contacts. There is also proof of communication between Russians and Trump officials about the release of Podesta's emails by way of Wikileaks. In separate file Rick Gates has provided evidence/testimony of discussion between himself and Trump in a limo ride to LaGuardia airport. The discussion was about leaks which would be processed through Russians and Wikileaks. On the Maddow show it was assumed John Dowd was the Trump personal attorney at the time of the "potentially illegal" telephone to Flynn and his attorney. In Bob Woodward's most recent book, John Dowd is on record describing Trump as a "F***ing liar" during talks with Woodward.

China Cancels U.S. Pork, Buys Few Soybeans as Trade War Simmers

China Cancels U.S. Pork, Buys Few Soybeans as Trade War Simmers

    excerpt:

"Chinese buyers canceled a purchase of 3,247 metric tons of American pork and bought only limited amounts of soybeans, cotton and sorghum last week, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data.

The results, reported Thursday, confirmed expectations that the world’s biggest importer of commodities would pull back from buying American products as a result of China’s escalating clash with the U.S. over trade.

June lean hog futures slumped as much as 1.7% to 90.175 cents per pound in Chicago after the USDA data was released. China’s pork cancellation was the biggest since the week ended April 5, 2018 -- near the time when U.S. President Donald Trump first announced plans to impose tariffs on some U.S. imports of Chinese goods."

Trump admin planning to fly immigrants to U.S. cities away from the border
Beyond South Florida, Homeland Security officials are considering other areas around the country where immigrants can be released, officials told NBC News.

Trump admin planning to fly immigrants to U.S. cities away from the border

    excerpt:

"The Department of Homeland Security is laying the groundwork for a plan to transport recent border crossers by plane to cities around the U.S. and release them after processing, according to two DHS officials familiar with the plan.

Florida officials from both parties have expressed anger about the plan, with the Republican governor calling it "not acceptable" and Democrats accusing the Trump administration of manufacturing a crisis. Local officials in South Florida said on Thursday that they were preparing for hundreds of immigrants to begin arriving in Broward County on a weekly basis."

Trump is now asking other countries to help him with his escalated trade war against China, countries onto which he has already imposed tariffs.

In 2018 he also referred to countries in the European Union as foes and asked at the same time that they help him with Bolton's war against Iran.

Trump is a master in doing what's known as talking into the wrong end of a horse.

Trump’s puzzling trade war with China, sort of explained

    excerpt:

"In a normal administration, you would expect background briefings with journalists to help substantially clarify how the White House is really thinking about this. But in Trump’s Washington, it’s clear that his own team simply disagrees to an extent with itself, and that the president is playing an ambiguous role in this game.

That’s because Trump, at least, seems to portray himself as thinking that the tariffs are good in and of themselves, whether or not they lead to a deal. One way to see this is that, as Democrats often complain, Trump is not really focusing his trade policy on China.

Instead, he’s simultaneously hitting Korean appliances, Canadian steelmakers, and, potentially, European automakers with separate sets of tariffs. Levying all kinds of tariffs on everyone makes sense if you just love tariffs, but if you’re actually trying to get China to give ground and make a deal, you might want to team up with allies and all crack down on China simultaneously."

Trump’s puzzling trade war with China, sort of explained

    excerpt:

"Precisely because the trade war is an inherently lose-lose situation, any possible resolution of it is a win. And that, in some sense, is a very nice position for Trump to be in.

Note, however, that the underlying predicate for all this is that the strong US economy gives Trump room to maneuver. Nevertheless, the signature element of Trump-era politics is the reality that his national approval ratings are stuck in the low 40s despite a benign external environment in terms of national security and economic growth.

Parlaying the strong economy into a lot of drama that will eventually allow Trump to claim some kind of victory is extremely Trumpy in the sense that it displays his unquestionable genius for making himself the center of attention at all times. But as is so often the case, one is tempted to ask whether it might not make more sense to try a simpler plan that involved less stirring up of trouble and more just letting people relax and enjoy a period of peace and prosperity."

Actually what you said is true. Now he has blamed Obama for not warning him about Flynn. Obama did so personally and Sally Yates was first to drive over and warn Trump. Yates' warning was dismissed, brushed off, and disregarded.

Another weekend, another Trump Tweetstorm, which he launched after Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, accused the president of "impeachable conduct" in a break with the GOP.

"There are 'No High Crimes & Misdemeanors,' No Collusion, No Conspiracy, No Obstruction. ALL THE CRIMES ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE" - Donald Trump

"You can't impeach a president for creating the best economy in our country's history....." Trump" ...lol...

Forgetting that a republican led house impeached President Clinton with an equally strong economy.
