"I want the cleanest water on Earth. I want the cleanest air on Earth. And that's what we're doing. And I'm an environmentalist, a lot of people don't understand that. I have done more environmental impact statements probably than anybody that's ... ever been president. And I think I know more about the environment than most people" Why is he like this
The little trinket dish in the upper left is made in China. Trump sells it for $15. And Trump says China is killing the U.S.
Trump: ‘I Think I Know More About The Environment Than Most People’ Audrey Conklin, Reporter August 26, 2019 1:29 PM ET Trump: ‘I Think I Know More About The Environment Than Most People’ excerpt: "Trump was the only G7 leader not in attendance at a climate meeting Monday due to prescheduled meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to the White House. A senior administration official reportedly took Trump’s place to make up for his absence, though photographers still captured pictures of his empty chair."

As Trump Swerves on Trade War, It’s Whiplash for the Rest of the World By Peter Baker Aug. 26, 2019, 7:04 p.m. ET As Trump Swerves on Trade War, It’s Whiplash for the Rest of the World excerpts: "BIARRITZ, France — Remember when President Xi Jinping of China was the “enemy”? That was so Friday. As of Monday, according to President Trump, Mr. Xi was “a great leader” and a “brilliant man.” What about that edict by Mr. Trump, who “hereby ordered” American companies to leave China? Three days later, he was positive he would get a trade deal and, if so, then firms should “stay there and do a great job.”" "The way he negotiates at times involves facts that may not be facts, statements that may not have been said and episodes that may not have occurred. And at times, he denied saying what he had said. On Sunday, he said he had “second thoughts” about escalating the trade war with China, only to have staff members later insist that his only regret was not escalating it more. By Monday morning, he was ratcheting back the rhetoric and predicting a deal with Mr. Xi, whom he pronounced a “great leader” four times."

Trump is becoming increasingly more and more unhinged. In addition to his chair being vacant throughout the climate meeting, he lied about his meeting with the German Chancellor and Indian prime minister who were attending the climate meeting at the exact same time Trump claimed to be in private discussions with both leaders. He just makes up shit on the spot and hopes no one will do any fact checking. Like when he told the press he received two calls last night from China to resume discussions on the Trade Talks – it was an outright lie, China said no one from their government called any representative of the US government to resume talks. He just makes up shit and hopes it sticks.
It get worse, Then Trump right out of the blue with no connection to the question he was being asked, said "Melania Trump and Kin Jong Un have become close friends". Except the first lady has never even met the North Korean leader or communicated with him over the phone or by e-mail. If he was anyone else but the President of the United States, and leader of the free world, he’d be committed to the nearest psychiatric hospital for observation.
An Oral History of Trump’s Bigotry His racism and intolerance have always been in evidence; only slowly did he begin to understand how to use them to his advantage. David A. Graham, Adrienne Green, Cullen Murphy, and Parker Richards June 2019 Issue An Oral History of Trump’s Bigotry excerpt: "In the years since then, Trump has assembled a long record of comment on issues involving African Americans as well as Mexicans, Hispanics more broadly, Native Americans, Muslims, Jews, immigrants, women, and people with disabilities. His statements have been reflected in his behavior—from public acts (placing ads calling for the execution of five young black and Latino men accused of rape, who were later shown to be innocent) to private preferences (“When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” a former employee of Trump’s Castle, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, told a writer for The New Yorker). Trump emerged as a political force owing to his full-throated embrace of “birtherism,” the false charge that the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama, was not born in the United States. His presidential campaign was fueled by nativist sentiment directed at nonwhite immigrants, and he proposed barring Muslims from entering the country. In 2016, Trump described himself to The Washington Post as “the least racist person that you’ve ever encountered.” Instances of bigotry involving Donald Trump span more than four decades. The Atlantic interviewed a range of people with knowledge of several of those episodes. Their recollections have been edited for concision and clarity."
President Trump skips G7 meeting on climate change, and his excuse makes no sense Trump alleges he skipped the meeting due to commitments to the leaders of Germany and India, though were both there Matthew Rozsa August 26, 2019 3:27PM (UTC) Trump skips G7 meeting on climate change, and his excuse doesn't hold excerpt: "President Donald Trump claims that he skipped a G7 meeting on climate change because of other commitments to the leaders of Germany and India, even though their top executives were at the meeting which he did not attend. "The president had scheduled meetings and bilaterals with Germany and India, so a senior member of the administration attended in his stead," White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement to CNN after controversy erupted over Trump's absence at the meeting. The White House had indeed sent staff to the climate change conference, yet Grisham's statement overlooked the fact that both German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the climate conference which Trump had decided to skip."
Trump, after skipping climate meeting at G-7 summit, says U.S. not going to lose its wealth ‘on dreams, on windmills’ By Sylvie Corbet and Darlene Superville Associated Press Aug 26, 2019 | 11:16 AM Trump, after skipping climate meeting at G-7 summit, says U.S. not going to lose its wealth ‘on dreams, on windmills’ excerpts: "Trump started the morning behind schedule, and held one-on-one meetings while others were in the climate discussions. However, one of his interlocutors, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, managed to make it to the climate meeting. Trump then met with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he was asked about attending the climate session. Trump said it would be his next stop and that he wants clean air and water. But he never showed up." "U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres - who attended Monday's climate talks - expressed hope that Americans themselves would help fight climate change even if their president doesn't. "I am very optimistic about American society and its capacity to deliver in relation to climate action," he told reporters afterward. "What matters here is to have a strong engagement of the American society and of the American business community and the American local authorities.""
The White House just announced the 2020 G7 Summit will be held at the Trump family owned Doral Resort in Florida, (which according to the President) has top quality bungalows, great parking, and the biggest and best ballrooms in all of Florida. Well that doesn’t sound like a conflict of interest, and guess what, Russia will likely be invited to the now G8 Summit - despite the likely protestations of the other 6 nations. And oh btw, each nation will have to pay for their accommodations. Just pay Jared Kushner or Ivanka Trump on the way in (Cash or credit cards, only) no checks or money orders will be accepted,...lol...
Can't find that. Did find the transcript of the Sunday show. This was stated: But I can't find any reference to viewers. Here's the transcript.
Trump's slogan has deteriorated into 'let's try to start to make the U.S. farmers at least a portion of how great they were before they got damaged by my trade war'. Farmers’ Frustration With Trump Grows as U.S. Escalates China Fight By Alan Rappeport Aug. 27, 2019 Updated 7:13 a.m. ET Farmers’ Frustration With Trump Grows as U.S. Escalates China Fight excerpt: "WASHINGTON — Peppered with complaints from farmers fed up with President Trump’s trade war, Sonny Perdue found his patience wearing thin. Mr. Perdue, the agriculture secretary and the guest of honor at the annual Farmfest gathering in southern Minnesota this month, tried to break the ice with a joke. “What do you call two farmers in a basement?” Mr. Perdue asked near the end of a testy hourlong town-hall-style event. “A whine cellar.” A cascade of boos ricocheted around the room. American farmers have become collateral damage in a trade war that Mr. Trump began to help manufacturers and other companies that he believes have been hurt by China’s “unfair” trade practices. More than a year into the trade dispute, sales of American soybeans, pork, wheat and other agricultural products to China have dried up as Beijing retaliates against Mr. Trump’s tariffs on Chinese imports. Lucrative contracts that farmers long relied on for a significant source of income have evaporated, with Chinese buyers looking to other nations like Brazil and Canada to get the commodities they need. Farm bankruptcy filings in the year through June were up 13 percent from 2018 and loan delinquency rates are on the rise, according to the American Farm Bureau."
