Trump is much like the bigoted Archie Bunker in the notable scene where he is stuck in a stalled elevator with a Black, a Puerto Rican, and two women.

Like Archie, Trump has difficulty handling situations that are outside of his own living room where he has the most control, especially with a group of unknowns that involve minorities. It stands to reason that Trump wants to have the next G-7 summit at one of his resorts in Florida.

All in the Family - The Elevator Story (season 2, episode 14)

    At the six minute mark:

Archie: You speak their lingo, don't you?

Hugh: What makes you think I speak their lingo?

Archie: Well, I figured you learned some of it living up in Harlem.

Hugh: What makes you think I live in Harlem?

    Archie: You look it.

    Hugh: What makes you think?

Farmers’ Frustration With Trump Grows as U.S. Escalates China Fight

Farmers’ Frustration With Trump Grows as U.S. Escalates China Fight

    excerpt:

"Mr. Perdue is a somewhat unlikely lieutenant in Mr. Trump’s trade war. As Georgia’s governor, he worked to strengthen ties between the state and China, welcoming Chinese companies and making economic development trips to Shanghai and Beijing. At one point he pushed for Atlanta to become a hub for the Free Trade Area of the Americas, a proposed 34-country trade pact that never came to fruition.

“He’s a very strong supporter of free trade,” said Craig Lesser, who worked for Mr. Perdue as Georgia’s commissioner of economic development.

But in the Trump administration, Mr. Perdue has been a staunch backer of the president’s policies, publicly defending tariffs, working to shrink the federal government and expressing doubts about the science behind climate change."

The apologies for Trump are becoming increasingly desperate.

There was an era when balancing the budget and reducing the national debt were signature tenets of the Republican party. In spite of their shortcomings at reducing the debt, the politicians in the Reagan era and the Gingrich years were at least conscious about the budget and making public statements about it.

The approach post-9/11 with the Republicans and others in DC has become one of 'who cares' and 'anything goes'. Today, some Republicans and Trump enthusiasts actually sound enthused about the ballooning national debt.

Other examples of degradation include the Republican party which once embraced the moral high ground on personal and political conduct but now turn a blind eye to the disgusting behavior of Trump and other politicians with some sounding like they are actually proud of it. Some in the Republican party,.which once vehemently spoke out against world dictators, now seem to have no problem with Trump raving publicly about how he fell in love with the dictator of North Korea.

The U.S. farmers during the Carter administration were damaged by the grain embargo on the Soviet Union precipitated by its invasion of Afghanistan. They protested in DC that they didn't want to receive handouts from the government and held signs saying 'Parity, Not Charity'. Today, some farmers are praising Trump for giving them direct government assistance checks during his trade war and might even hold up signs at a Trump rally saying 'Charity, Not Parity!'.

The members of the U.S. Congress once had respect for the concept of separation of powers which is a tenet of the U.S. Constitution. They are now allowing it to be circumvented by Trump with impunity who has been engaging in an overreaching use of emergency acts for the sake of him trying to win personal ego battles with other countries, businesses, and groups he doesn't like.

It's symbolic of the politicians in DC and the voting public abandoning their ideals.

Its hilarious watching money grubbing news networks attempt humor. He should say, "Film at 11:00, on Fox" because there are no real standards anymore for what is reliable news, and its all just for entertainment purposes. To distract the brainless idiots from realizing they no longer have a functional government and the wealthy are simply eating the entire country and each other alive. Donald Duck has merely to boot CNN out of the White House press room, and he can get the assholes to say whatever he wants. Any pretense that it is about anything other than money is absurd.

If these bastards lied any more frequently, their noses would fall off, and the public is suddenly catching on that the government and corporations they have consistently demanded lie to them for their own protection, are lying to them, but for profit.

Trump just signed the death warrant of dozens of Children in the Boston area, some as young as 4 years old.

Severely ill immigrants, including children with cancer, cystic fibrosis, and other grave conditions, are facing deportation under a change in Trump administration policy that immigration advocates are calling cruel and inhumane.

The policy change will affect thousands of immigrants across the country, according to lawyers and advocates. All had been granted “medical deferred action,” a special status
that allows immigrants to remain in the country legally, receive Medicaid, and work while they receive treatment for dire health conditions.

Beginning last week, lawyers for some of these immigrants received boilerplate letters from Citizenship and Immigration Services informing them the agency’s field offices
will no longer consider applications for renewal under the program.

The letters told families that if they did not leave the United States in 33 days, they would become undocumented and face deportation proceedings.

Seems he's getting an early start on eliminating medicaid and medicare. Nobody else in the KKK led republican party would have the stones. If he gets away with it, he's going for the throat next, and roughly 42% of the population loves the guy. So long as he doesn't attack the wealthy, he's allowed to do whatever the fuck he wants.

Not at all he strongly supports both Medicaid and Medicare but his obsession with immigrants has turned into some form of mania

LOL, you believe a fucking word that comes out of that man's mouth! He will attack anything and everything that is in his fucking way to gain control of the entire government. If you hadn't noticed, law and order don't appeal to him, and he would like to have the privilege of hiring and firing judges at will. Its a Neo-Nazi thing. By the time congress impeaches him, Medicaid and Medicare may never be the same again. He wants the government, demands control over the whole fucking government, which is why they are trying to impeach him. He was elected against the will of his own party leaders, precisely because they knew he was their worst nightmare come home roost.

You elected an asshole to destroy your own government, so, good luck with that. The harder congress attempts to impeach the man, the more he will rationalize anything he does, and the more anything goes. You wanted a dirty fighter, now you have Three Stooges slapstick.
