Assuming your link is valid, it's called a progressive tax rate. There are currently 7 different tax brackets based upon income ranging from 10% to 39.6%. I would assume Trump is in the highest bracket. I have no idea what bracket Maddow, Obama, and Sanders are in. But you could check for Sanders and Obama as they have released their income tax forms. I would assume Comcast is taxed on a corporate bases. Now you'll notice Trump only paid 25%, not 39.6%, that's because of his legal deductions, including his $916 million dollar loss in previous years. I don't know what kind of legal deductions Sanders, et al had. Trump could have avoided paying as much as he did if the minimum alternative tax gets cut, as he wants to do. So I really don't know what your point is. Yes Trump paid a lot of taxes, the question is did he pay his fair share as compared to the common tax payer and those at the bottom? Are you suggesting everybody should pay the same tax rate?
This budget would hit trump supporters the hardest. Maybe then they will realize what they got themselves into.
During the election campaign he promised to release his taxes. Apparently, he meant when hell freezes over. Hillary released her taxes. Every other President has released his taxes. Yhe "i'm being audited" excuse is bogus. Even if it were valid., it wouldn't prevent the release of returns for past years. If it looks like a crook, talks like a crook, and walks like a crook, it does raise suspicion.
Ok Trumpcare – would make wealthy people and institutions wealthier The proposed tax cuts - would make wealthy people and institutions wealthier The proposed deregulations - would make wealthy people and institutions wealthier The proposed budget - would make wealthy people and institutions wealthier And they say the Trump Presidency is so directionless and unstable – it seems pretty consistent to me.
This should be scaring people. After making the outrageous unsubstantiated charge that Obama wiretapped Trum Tower (following previous outrageous unsubstantiated charges that Obama isn't a U.S. citizen and Obama and Hillary Clinton were the founders of ISIS Trump explains in an interview with Tucker Carlson on FOX that he got his information from a garbled reading of a story in New York Times (a source which he says he distrusts) and a FOX news story that doesn't say anything about Obama wiretapping anybody. Trump has also explained that wiretapping isn't to be taken literally but includes other forms of surveillance. "And don’t forget, when I say wiretapping, those words were in quotes,” he continued. “That really covers, because wiretapping is pretty old-fashioned stuff, but that really covers surveillance and many other things. And nobody ever talks about the fact that it was in quotes, but that’s a very important thing." And he promises some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks.” (Remember the interesting things he promised us about Obama's citizenship years ago.) https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2017-03-16/donald-trump-tells-tucker-carlson-source-of-wiretapping-claim-was-new-york-times-and-fox-news http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/trumps-defense-his-wiretap-conspiracy-theory-goes-horribly-awry All this should tell us our President is: a pathological liar (and an incompetent one at that), incoherent and/or a fool. Be araid! Be very afraid!
The Vitézi Rend, a Hungarian NAZI group, claims Trump's top counter-terrorism adviser, Sebastian Gorka, is a member. Gorka was born and grew up in Britain and lived in Hungary from 1992 to 2008, he became a U.S. citizen in 2012. ???
http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/17/us/meals-on-wheels-donations-compassionate/ I thought i would share some good news in light of Trump's horrendous budget - Volunteer sign ups are up 500% for Meals on Wheels, a program facing budget cuts under the Trump administration Good job America, we are not a nation of monsters even if we are govermed by monsters
As far as I can tell that ^^^ is way beyond my comprehension since I think that is as STUPID a thing as I've ever seen in connection with #45 cutting funding to the arts... Did you google low brow crap art to come up with this or were you able to come up with this all on your own? ___________________________________________________________________ MANY children and adults benefit greatly on all levels from art in its many forms. Even more than art - senior people benefit even MORE from eating!!! (who woulda thunk it?!?) Then there are the programs that help supply people with heat and electricity...but then if they don't have food to cook electricity is irrelevant, right??? For the families that have children and need this help, I guess the kids can just be taken away and put into an already overburdened foster care system...but that is also a program set up for funding cuts. hmmmm Poor families and their children view after school programs as a life saver in keeping families together. The kids that need extra help (scholastically) can receive it there and the kids that would have to go to an empty house if it were not for after school care are able to be safe and secure until their working parent/s are able to go get them. But then I don't even know why I'm wasting my time saying all of this. I guess I'm hoping that you will see the reality of how horrific these proposed cuts would be. But then like I like to say - I'm not holding my breath on that. Thank goodness so many citizens have come forth with donations and volunteering (hopefully) to make certain at least the Meals On Wheels program remains.
My 94 year old Dad gets Meals on Wheels. He pays the full amount they ask for and would probably pay more. I am glad he gets a good meal each day (weekday) and that there is another set of eyes on him daily. At least twice they have contacted me to let me know that he seemed "off" and also to alert me that his AC was not working on a 90 degree day. Without help like this program he would have to go to a nursing home.
What are you talking about? Some of those pieces I provided are worth millions. Maybe, just maybe, with a more limited budget, fewer federal dollars will be spent on talentless hacks who call themselves artists. And focus more of those funds toward art that actually matters.
