yeah you're right but when your a teenager its hard not to. For exapmple I hang out with a lot of people who consider themselves goth. Latetly I notice that I started to dress in black and listen to the bauhaus more often. But really I don't care about sterotypes. At least I try not to.
Firstly i always used to be the sort of parson who forced myself to not be part of those music based labels and I used to think that people who made themselves fit in a category were totally fake. But now i really don't think there is anything wrong with making yourself be labelled, as it can always be used to define who you or someone is in a positive instead of just using descriptive words to describe someone or yourself. But having said that there is also criticism against a the labels, well that life for one positive thing there always seems to be something negative *cries like a baby* Secondly i always thought people who were labelled as scene just were followers and not depending on what sort of music they listen to and just don't stay true to who they are. Lastly *breaths* for emo's (keeping in mind this may be bias’s seeing as I am close to a few emo's) i don't think there is anything wrong with being emo, the jokes that that are created about them is just so hilarious. I do love the way they dress and at least most of the guys don't walk around with hanging down trousers. But even tough they are portrayed as being sensitive they sure now how to have fun. When a descriptive word to describe hippies and think happy or easy going people, but having thought of this I for one think that hippies cannot always be happy or easy going *goes to think why she wrote all this* :& :& -- covers face
I think the trick is to not fight it rather just ignor it and be yourself. Really don't try to hard to be be one particular type or anyting. Let your self flow.
true but if you see yourself connected to a certain way (even if it is a label) that is still a way of being yourself.....well imo
I generally like the way the guys dress . . . tight pants are yummy, and I'd rather have that be the style than the way wiggers wear theirs, hanging off their asses. Don't like emo glasses though. Most of the emo girls I know are rather annoying and slutty. So I can deal with the style, but to me the music is awful. Just shows you how absolutely spoiled our generation is. But I guess if I had to choose between listening to emo/whiny shit or rap all day, I'd opt for emo. It's slightly more tolerable, I suppose.
You emo haters are fucking pathetic, you just as fucking bad as you think they are. Your just as fucking self righteuous as you hink they are
my life is one big emo mess. actually, I think I know one emo person. Who cares, if that's what they're into, I'm not going to stop them.
meh...emo ppl are fine....i just dont like emo music...so i dont listen to it....why is everyone so excited....omg emo...calm down....get over it and yourselves.... i hope youre right... >_<
i think the reason Emo's get bashed is because they are trying to break away from conformity, by wearing black etc. but they just end up being more conformist than they started off with in the first place.
so then you just pity them...its sad to point out how pathetic they are.....just leave it be.... ive got some emo friends and i just let it go.....why give them more excuses to be emo.....
Wearing black to look "unique" isn't limited to emo; that's also found in mall punks, metalheads, spooky kids, and the like. I don't see why people should bash emo for the tacky clothing. Most youth subcultures, in all honesty, are just weak attempts at building that "unique" identity - exactly the same in form and function as emo. The differences between subcultures are only superficial.
-shrug- if they wanna do it then it's their choice.. i don't care about emo kids..it's the scene douches that annoy me.. i just think they're so ridiculous..
oh gosh!! i hate emos!! well i dont hate neone, but i reallllllyy strrongly dislike them, its like there being sad on purpose, like its cool to be depressed, i mean sheesh take off ur shoes but on some bob marly and mellow out!
