It's funny. There've been people crying downfall since the beginning of our recorded history. The Christians have been crying rapture since the reformation, and it always comes in one form or another and swiftly leaves in that same form, with everyone running around looking for how they could have possibly been so wrong. No end is near. It's just your imagination, and maybe too much acid! In the mid-nineties people were saying that Howard Stern was the anti-christ and that he was going to build the third temple after the Christian rapture. It's madness.I think some Christians need a labotomy and I think some hippies have done way too many drugs, man.

Anybody remember the millenium? Everyone said that was going to be the end of civilization or something like that.

I don't know what I would do if the world was ending....I'd think I would want to experience it, so I'd climb up a high tree and wait for the end. Unless I had drugs, then I'd mix them together in a big pot and go swimming in it.

Each generation, in turn, has predicted the end of the world. I think that it's a postive thing. Everyone has trouble coming to terms with the fact that they're going to die one day. Why shouldn't we? Our memory is just chock-fulla our existence so non-existence is very difficult to grasp. Like in our beloved cold war age, when everyone was so certain that any day now there'd be a big flash of light and you and your entire city would be blown to little bitty pieces? And then everyone decided that since they were going to die anyway they would dress up in colorful clothes and beg for dimes on the street... and then they grew up and became accountants. But never mind that. After all: does the dying man care to cause harm to others? We always fantasize about what we would do if we were suddenly informed that we had three days to live. But the truth is that at best, you have- what, fifty years? Forty? And you could get hit by a Greyhound while crossing the street on the way to your cubicle tomorrow, but we continue to waste our time. Live like we have forever and an afterlife. Wouldn't it be ironic if all at once, everyone realized that the world was going to end in a year? I think it would be beautiful. Billions of people suddenly distracted from causing harm to others for their own profit to rush to do everything that they need to do before they die. The sad thing is that I know that if it turned out that someone had messed it up, and the human race really had 10,000 more years until it's expiration date: people would be accountants again. Because people suck… ass. Anyway, the human race is going to end sometime. Who cares? The sun has got to explode SOMETIME, you know ;)

hey MusicMan, you might notice if you read some people's posts that they most likely wouldn't call this 2012 change a downfall.. more like an uprise.. or a higher conciousness.

Hey, I'd better fix it then...hahaha. I took out my age because I don't want to fall into the trap of counting the years and thinking that I have to conform to what someone else thinks a "..." year old looks like, or sounds like, or thinks like.
I am living in the Eternal Now - the only place we can ever find Bliss.
