the english language is so weird

I did hear somewhere, I think in grade school, that english is one of the hardest languages to learn. I think is because all the strange spellings and pronunciations Like the name Sean, when I was younger everone I knew with that name spelled it Shawn, confusing

 

Well I know that Tony and bologna sound the same by virtue of the way they are pronounced.
I thought the user name appropriate regardless.
