Went out today panfishing with the wife she caught one. I caught 6. This is the biggest one that wanted to play. This weekend I'll be hunting for largemouth.
killing, even a fish, is not a game. eating however, is a natural and necessary function of life. the nature of the pursuit of fish, and the nature of competition, are two things i find difficult, nay impossible, to reconcile. then again, i find competition generally gratuitous. then there is the nature of water, and its boundry with the earth. the sights and delights, rewards visual and otherwise of quiet places. all of these things, and the parts of the fish you don't eat, and what you do with them. there's a whole enviro-economic about that, and all the many ways you might go about getting the fish from the hook to the fire to your stomic. all of these things togather and not any seperate one of them alone.
Although I had to work today, I was able to get out for a couple hours and get the season going! Now that I know where, what, how deep, etc.... I'm excited for tomorrow!
Went out this morning for 2 hours fly fishing. Caught a bunch. 3 biggest of the day. I'm not really going to start being aggressive with fishing until June and then all day everyday
Will big fish like that catch bigger fish? Do fisherman take fish like that from a location and then use them to lure giant fish elsewhere?
