    got to admit, if i was serving someone's food and dropped it, i might use the 5 second rule if it was easy to scoop it up real quick.

    i'd probably be pissed if someone did this to me. but alot of the time i'm so stretched just running around dont have time to go tell the cooks to make it again, or feel like making my customer wait 20 mins.

    especially if it's dropped before it is done cooking, it's probably going back in the oven to finish cooking and kill all the germs.

    only run into this situation like 2-3 times in the last year.

    Maybe lighting it on fire gets rid of the germs....and dog hair. :2thumbsup:
