I would think that is more an indication of how people measure their own hapiness in different cultures rather then how we would collectivly consider happiness. Nigeria as happiest country? Nigeria is going through horrific famines. I'm sure famine is mesaured with much of the population of Nigeria as waking up in the day and managing to find enough food to feed your family. Maybe we poison a bunch of food supplies to make the rest of the world more happy? Fuck no. This is all subjective based on cultural standards.
england is definitely a favorite place of mine, i've never been to ireland but i would love to, and i absolutely want to go to morocco sooooooo badly i'd be so happy living in europe and everything is train rides away but those islands do look lovely and it doesn't surprise me that they'd be a happy place to live, except for the whole 'third-world country' aspect
colombia has the highest trade unionist death rate in the world labanon im guessing is pretty pissed off right now as well
i think this is pretty much the most objective way to measure happiness there is tho. i can't think of a better way
Well yeah, asking people is really the only way. Not like you can drill a hole 100 different peoples brains in every country and see how much serotonin falls out. I'm just saying theres probably a large disparity in how people define being happy in an affluent society than an impoverished society.
