no, most of the "statistics" about strain potency come from seedbanks, i've never seen that info anywhere else....

a particular strain may generally be more potent than bagseed, but there will be NO consistancy in the actual final yield of thc

a mean potency could be found, but it would require hundreds upon hundreds of plants to test before the mean could be determined, and it would have to be a consistant mode of testing and a consistantly reliable group of people testing it (i.e. don't take a company's word for it that their pot is 25% thc...because you wont get anywhere close to that most likely when you grow it)

this is a marketing ploy to sell more seeds at a more expensive price than is reasonable. it works only too well because they know the average stoner won't think this through logically, and that even if they DON'T buy this bs that the average stoner or grower would have no way to test the plants grown from this seed themselves. also, if they DID manage to grow the cannabis and test it and complain about lower potency, the company can just say "oh sorry, you just didnt give it the proper conditions"

while i am not entirely sure that the statistics are simply fabricated, i cannot believe that they are anywhere close to being reliable.

I don't think this thread can be called bullshit yet, just because we're making a logical guess or two. There is just a damn good chance that it's bullshit.

i dont understand y we have to know which strain is the best. i say we categorize it, u got your shitty bud wich is schwagg, then theres ok bud wich is middies, then you go good bud wich is dank, then you got your crazy outrageously awesome bud which is heddies or funk, i say if you got bud that even ranks in this top category then your smoking the best shit around. i've smoked 3 types of heddies. white widow, blueberry, and california big bud and there was sumtin special about each one the white widow hands down got me the most ripped ive ever been, then the blueberry was the best tasting and the cali big bud was the best smelling bud (this shit stinks soooooo goooood) so i say the best marijuana plant would be blueberry grown with white widow and cali big bud all rolled up on a thai stick and sold at 75 and 8th.

 

thanks ive only smoked 1 type ( didnt know what it was) so im gonna try and grow my own, or get some of the names u mentioned. hard though cuz the ppl i get it off dont know shit about the plant they just smoke it. ( whatever their dealer has)
