hello... thought id add my 2 pence worth of thought... Death could be looked at as a form of grace, relieving us of our problems, hurt, pain and suffering here to go to a better place. If we lived forever, we would live in the existence of this world with all its issues forever... you could say the thought of that would be like a hell... there is no release, a never ending life of problems... agh, im scaring myself here!!
"If one thinks about it logically, it seems as though death should be something to be afraid of only if we will survive it, and perhaps undergo some terrible transformation. But that doesn't prevent many people from thinking that annihilation is one of the worst things that could happen to them." - Thomas Nagel Buddhists teach the giving up of hope (that includes the thought of death) so that every moment is spent living.
death is the natural clycle of life and one that we all shall eventually come to, it marks the end from the beginning and any conclusion of life
--Well yea.... -If anything needs doin than ya better do it.. -But as far as death being the end, -It aint. -Its not the end or the begining.
Okay, biologically, death is a very necessary stage in the development of an organism, like the new 2005 Ford Mustang. We need to upgrade every now and again. If it was not a benefit to us, scientific theory would deduce that we wouldn't die. But we do, so it does. I look at it as going somewhere else, and the lack of any clue where is kind of exciting, like a spontaneous holiday where you head out with no idea where you'll end up. I am sure the Christians who believe in hell are confident where I will end up. Death does not frighten me, not my death anyway, my loved ones deaths sure do.
