There's just so many things in this world that I don't care about. I don't care about the wars, I don't care about who gets shot, who's killed, religion, science don't care for it, nothing phases me.. But then one persons feeling will. Not everyone's feelings. I could care less about most feelings I think y'all know that, but then just someone special.. and it eats away at me. Almost like, I'm in a relationship with them and you know I think that's it. The people I care most about aren't just people to me, they're almost my family.. They're special, and they're more than friends to me.

 

Ahhh I got so much cleaning done today! I even got around to hanging some decorations on my walls that I've wanted to get up for a while!

Irmi, Nothing wrong with living and loving hard...you just have to watch out who you let yourself get close to. Now when you figure out HOW to control your heart, tell me...then tell everybody and you will be able to sell that and make enough to buy that castle that should make you princess/queen. You'll also have enough left over to buy that zoo you and your missus will be visiting.

Yesterday, Wednesday Mama fell and broke her right arm. We were told at the ER it is broken at the "top", meaning at the juncture of the shoulder and arm. From her shoulder to her elbow is blue/purple/black.

This is the 1st time I've ever seen her in any real pain but she's a trooper and doing as well as can be expected for a soon-to-be 96 yr old woman. Hell, she's doing better than the majority of people much younger. I was able to talk her into using my cane around the house today after she brought up/talked about her falling.

Here when you go to the ER with a broken bone, they only tell you the most basic things, such as if you have a broken bone or not and the general area it is broken. You have to make your own appointment with the orthopedist that they set you up with. Then the orthopedist tells you the skinny of the situation.

That's what I've been doing.

The old girl is going to have to admit she needs some help.

She probably needs a quad cane. They are more stable.

 

Time to get the old girl one of the little golf carts. with a #24 flag.
I've always been excited to grow old and get a cart for some reason, but I see myself racing people etc.
I hope she gets better soon.

For the 1st time EVER she is having to admit she needs help. Even with the broken wrist, she could still use her arm. This time its immobile...and no fun for anybody. mercysakes

That quad cane would be good for her to have. She isn't really using the cane like most people, since she doesn't put it on the floor with each step. lol It is helping to slow her down and make her gait more steady and secure.

I quite like getting older. I will NOT like being physically infirm.

I'm already mentally infirm so that won't bother me.

 

tyrson I remember listening to that Floyd album in the back seat of my friends old mercury boat on our way to see cat stevens...it was the first time I ever asked someone ''who is this by?''..my friends were older and could not believe I had not heard it yet....

zep was ok but again I am a stoner and fell asleep at the movie premier of song remains the same...we won tix from the radio....I crashed hard during the drum solo and jims long guitarsolo.....I saw page/plant live....I worked the show too...it was awesome..couple zep songs....also saw plant and some girl whos name I forget.....if I remember....joan jett backed up page plant ...therewere rumours of her and plant doing the oingo boingo

of course saw Floyd 3 times ....among the best show of the couple thousand I have seen....thatquadrophonic sound system in the outdoor stadium.....no band has ever matched that

thats a super-bummer! i hope they get her in and fixed up quick. once its set comfrey poultices are supposed to be really good, but you dont want to speed it to healing in the wrong place, wait for it to be situated properly.fresh would be better bt you can get dried comfrey root from health stores or online (vitamin cottage has it out here)

i got a woven tablecloth to make a short wrap and ringsling out of. a project for tomorrow hopefully, i washed and dried it (100% cotton, red & white plaid) i hope it works well. i NEED to get the boy on my back, i have been struggling with getting anything done, and hes tired of being on the floor or in the bouncer, and doesnt care for the swing. hoping for an exersaucer/ walker for xmas. i just want my arms back.

My neighbor lady is in her eighties and still runs a 700 acre cattle ranch pretty much on her own. I hope I'm like that when I reach my dotage. She's had her hip and knee replaced but she's still out there every spring birthing cows.

Y'all really make me feel good. Of all the people IRL there are just a few ( a handful) I'm telling this to because Mama doesn't want people knowing, and I don't blame her. For sure y'all are more supportive and make me feel better that a couple of folks I've told. But then, everybody knows LOTS of people are jackasses.

OMG.

i just spent $85 on a piece of fabric.

it is a very nice piece of fabric, but im a little freaked out now that ive done it! hubby is sleeping, i tried to wake him up so that he would have a chance to talk me out of it, but nope. i done done it. its a size 7 (longer than i need, but the 6 was sold out) and its linen/ cotton blend, which i know i want. its a manly enough pattern (i think so anyway) for hubby to learn how to wrap if he wants to. oh boy oh boy. and i have $45 in my paypal, so its half paid off already. i will call it my christmas and birthday present to myself, since i didnt get anything for turning 30 either.

aaaaahhhhh! im freaking out here! i missed out on a cheaper one this morning, somebody got it before i decided for sure. there was a flash sale. there was fabric. i saw stars... BURMA! i panicked.

We have something similar, a boba wrap, I think. My wife likes to use it when she needs to get something done around the house, but the baby often won't sleep during the day unless she is being held.
