Spam from "Nigerian princes" is common on here. I don't know how they decided this was a better scam but I've seen several posts on here that list an American phone number along with the most generic English sounding name possible like John Smith. Old John says he can get you dozens of different strains of weed all conveniently in alphabetical order on his list. Sure why don't you send me weed from Africa I don't need the stuff at my corner shop.

The local theater just went digital a month ago...I would say they have pretty good timing.
Back when I lived in nj my local theater went out of business a week before revenge of the with came out.

Some Monty Python sketches are so weird. Perhaps I don't fully understand British humor but I like a few more current shows from there. So I must get it a little bit.

I watch a lot of movies and I have found that sometimes with British movies I don't understand what they are saying.

Like with accents or the slang they use? Yeah I have had to urban dictionary a few terms before.

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels isn't bad for the accent but it was funny... the slang at the beginning of that movie was definitely not American at all! I laughed because I think there was a Cockney (is this the right word?) slang thread on here not too long ago.

I have to turn on the subtitles with movies like that sometimes too. It's the same language and I have to do that.

My son, and his family, just brought over our Christmas present! I have a new (to me), working, gas oven and range!

I've been so tired of baking in the toaster oven over the last several years!

My son and his wife graduated from college today. I got to watch the ceremony streamed live. Cried like an idiot all the way thru it. I'm so proud of them. They're both war veterans and they're raising four young children. I can't imagine getting through college while trying to raise kids. He's a Bronze Star recipient and he met his wife in Iraq. Brave people, the both of them... but my son is even more amazing because he completed four years of college after war injuries. TBI and various other things.

He's also the best father I ever saw.

This is my xmas present. This day. I told him that he should moon the assembly as soon as he got the diploma in hand. He didn't. :)

    Whoop! Yay kid!
