My son and d-i-l had to surprise us early with the stove because their garage is full of new bedroom furniture waiting to surprise the 4 girls for Christmas. They ran out of room to store our gift, lol

this is local to me. i really thought this was a better neighborhood. close enough to town, but far enough away. im getting a definite vibe that its going to hell in a handbasket. i know its probably more the increase in population, more people = more bad people, but still. way too close for comfort. im glad the cop is ok, i am really glad he was wearing a vest. i think our plan is definitely to move. we have to be here 2 more years, per the loan. whether we rent or sell at that point will likely depend on the market. but it feels good, if terrifying, to have a plan. go through a box. do i need this when we move? do i need it now? bye bye crap ive been holding onto for no good reason. get out of my way, im not moving you again.

neighborhood is just full of nope right now. im law abiding. there are stupid laws, sure. there are laws that i have justified breaking in the past, mostly ones telling me what i can and cant do with my body. i do not believe laws should be so restrictive. but its not hard to not speed. its not hard to harm none but yourself. and if you get caught you take the damn ticket, not try to kill someone who is just doing their job. that really pisses me off. i have yet to have a negative experience with one of our local cops, they have all been very understanding, and thats not easy considering how easily i get triggered.

Our area is having a big up-tick in crime...huge. Lots of gun point robberies.

I've been here for almost 31 years.

My daughter, and her son, are moving out of the area for the first time. She will be 30 in January.

My son, his wife, and 4 girls live next door. He's lived here for the same amount of time as me.

One day, I suppose we will all move somewhere near each other.

I dread it. I'm kind of dug in here.

 

Thanks to all of you who were checking up on me. I took poorly last Sunday and got to spend a couple of days at the hospital so they could get my good lung clear enough to function. I have been a bed bug for the last week and today I managed to stay up for a few hours, that is progress. It feels like home to sign in and know people care.

Aeri, congrats on the new stove, that should help make life easier and it is great they spoilt you.

Blu, I can feel the love and pride in your post and it is wonderful.

ML... Sorry you're having to move but I love de-cluttering so you will probably enjoy getting rid of stuff you don't use any more. I get in that mood to toss stuff about twice a year and if it's something I haven't seen or needed to use in six months I toss it. I have a friend who has a rule that if she brings something home, she has to toss something else away. Sounds like a cool rule but I haven't been committed to de-clutter that much, yet.

Tossed some crap out of the carport that used to house my kiln. It felt great! Got the blower out and blew all the dried leaves away. Pretty cool day.

 

Keep it up! You're inspiring me! I haven't done a good, heavy tossing in several years and it's much needed.

the hard thing is getting everyone else on board. when i get to tossing stuff i really go crazy, but its like a panic. its like when you know someone will be here in an hour or two and everything is a mess... same feeling when i declutter. i did make a functional space in the hallway today though. and moved the cabinet and wire shelf that have been in my way.

i put nightmare before christmas on, the baby is fascinated.

 

Right now, I have this big stove sitting behind me in the middle of the room.

Hubby says "tomorrow" will will pull the old stove out and put the new one in.

 

tomorrow is, like, forever away!

hubby is delivering the fleecy hats i made tonight (im just realizing i didnt get a picture, i will have to make them pose in them for me) and picking up a bouncy seat, boppy piillow and moby for me, plus a mysterious gift.

 

I want a new stove to...lucky ducky

I have one more year until #5 graduates.

OK, we are getting some much appreciated rain tonight. I had to go to the store and started to get dressed and Buddy started to do his usual "I wanna go to!" dance, until I opened the door, he took one look outside at the rain, dropped his head and tail, turned around and went and laid in his bed with the saddest "woe is me" look on his face........LOL
He is out cold snoring right now when at this time he would normally be bugging me to go out.

Gas, my doggie wouldn't even turn her eyes toward the door when it rained a few days ago. All day she turned her back on the windows and door, lol

 

I'm at the comp. hours early. Pub isn't even open yet, coffee time!!

So far I've won my first game. and my warm up games were awesome and probably played better there lol. But this is not as daunting as I thought it was going to be.
