I won 7/19 games. :) I didn't get to advance or make it through second chance draws but I'm really pleased with myself. I was playing for almost 4.5 hours straight and so it was totally worth it. The time flew too. I think I was drawn against the easier opponent but I honestly believe that in at least 15 of my games, at least, I was winning by two - three balls but had troubles finishing off. And I was just impressed with how well I played. I usually get very frustrated at home by myself practicing but here I was just able to focus on what I needed to do. It was good. :) so I handed my number out if anyone was interested in picking me for a team and they said they'd sort it all out for me. Yay!

bags of insulation are a surprise too when you cut them open...no noise though just a heck of a surprise at how much they squeeze in there

    Damn, y'all.

This getting the stove installed has turned into a bitch.

    Where do I begin?

    Yup...

And Yule is 3 days centered around that date, so "semi-technically" tomorrow- Wedensday, or some such.

Yule log is ready (actually Yule stack of wood) and I put the wreath on the front door.

That's all anyone is getting out of me this year. :p

Hooking up the gas line would be a good start...

Let's back up, several years, to the new vent hood that never got installed when the fan in the old one died. We are attempting to install it while the old stove is out of the way. Hubby bought a ventless hood for some reason which would be okay except the duct for the vented hood we're replacing hangs too low to ignore. Hubby cut a hole in the hood mount to accommodate the the duct pipe. He cut it wrong the first time but was able to get it lined up properly with a larger cut hole on the second try. Now the existing mounting screws are angled in so that we can't just pop the new hood on. We are going to have to take a few out completely and then put them back in the bottom of the upper cabinets.

Meanwhile, the gas line that came on the back of the newer stove wasn't long enough to reach the gas outlet so we had to go to Home Depot. Hubby didn't like the price there so we drove about 15 miles to Lowe's and had to pay more. If he'd just taken the time to unscrew the old copper from the stove, instead of cutting it with a hack saw, we could have reused it. Now he thinks the new line is too short so he was going to put the line that came on the newer stove together with the one we just bought but they don't match.

Before the vent hood is up, he is pitching fits so fast that he can't pictch them properly because he has low blood sugar. In order to heat some dinner, we had to run a drop cord to another outlet to run the microwave because the power is off in the area of the kitchen where the microwave is plugged in. Off course he chose to plug the microwave into the same circuit as the space heater so everything on that circuit went dark for a few when I turned the microwave on.

It's all going to be okay but he won't stop bitching about having sawed that copper line off and having to spend money. Yada, yada. I knew this was coming when I saw the stove yesterday. He's not happy with the gift because it's causing him to have to work. That's why the old stove hasn't been repaired in years. He "hasn't felt like doing it".

    Anyway...

    Oh yeah...

We found 16 sq. ft. of empty space between the kitchen wall and the bathroom wall.

    Damn builder.

Our heater is on the outs. =[ right when we need it too. It seems to hear okay and do its job but after 15 or so minutes it just starts blowing air without heat. The unit outside I can hear the fan but it's not kicking in like the neighbors. So you turn off for ten minutes then on again and it seems to work... I've booked a person to come look. :)
