my brother christmas bonus this year was a notification that theres no work available for a few weeks so everyone gets to have unpaid time off ....right when he needs more paychecks the most

Something else that never happens anymore.

 

Last night it started snowing here, and it's still going. Quite a lot of snow so far.

Anyway, I was coming home from my friend's place in the evening after the snow had started. This sewer grate that I found seemed to share the same feelings I did for the snow finally showing up:

Stoned? Hell, yeah. Pain pills. I haven't gotten a thing done today, neither. Soaked in a bubble bath and I'm headed back to bed to watch old movies. The creeks are still flooded and it's too muddy to work outside.

I love rationalizations, don't you? Can't get thru a single day without one whopper of a rationalization. Maybe there's an old Kate Kepburn or John Wayne movie on. Popcorn and pain pills... yum.

 

Man, everyone is posting the same weather as we have here. No snow until the giant dump today. Do you guys secretly live in ottawa?

 

I signed some checks and important end of the year documents yesterday, and I'm done.

I'm saving those for tonight. You know, the kind with the label that says DO NOT CONSUME ALCOHOL WITH THIS MEDICATION. That's because liquor makes the high so much better.


One of my friends is married to a corrupt doctor.

Warm, misty, foggy, damp, weird, same as every other day for the past week and a half, except when it was raining hard. Fuck this weather.

Now my back pain is all the way into my lower back and I can barely bend over without whincing in pain. I just took the dog for a walk and that has made it a lot more worse. =[

 

It makes it all the harder to take. I'm going to need some of Karen's pain meds. Complete with accompanying beverage(s).
