I hate shipping! Seriously, like some things I've even sent myself and it's never as much as online shopping. So then you buy more hoping the shipping stays the same which it rarely does these days. My favorite line in eBay is "combined shipping????????????"

Usually you find stuff for very reasonable prices with very reasonable shipping through Amazon. Maybe you wouldn't be able to find the kind of office chair you're looking for there for the amount of money you're wanting to spend but I think if its available online, it would be there.

 

Sadly amazon.ca and amazon.com are not equal in selection. Also, if I order on Amazon.com to canada I normally spend too much on shipping anyways. I think I just found a solution for the office chair though. My roommate's sister works at staples and is willing to buy a chair for me with her employee discount apparently. Yay!

 

its so windy tonight, gusty. theres crap dropping on the roof, sounds loud. i just hope nothing is flying off! plywood on the side of the house fell over, so that was one noise.
supposed to be a nice couple of days, so we can get some outside work done.
little guy is having a rough night, keeps fighting sleep. betcha top teeth are coming in, hes been nice and not biting the bewbs that feed him, but he keeps grabbing my hand to chew on it. i wonder if the weather change is screwing with him too.

 

Ah man I went out in first round against the best person I ever played. And this dude went for snookers. And I don't get to play people that think like that. I lost by two balls. But I'm happy because, I was really on backfoot all game.

And I made two new friends. one guy I pick for Samoan or New Zealand. He said he's seen me about and that makes us friends all a sudden. So cool. And then another guy wearing a NASCAR shirt of all things and I'm like damn! I didn't wear mine!! But I says "nice shirt " and he says thanks... So... Why what where when. And we tell him whole story. good morning.

 

So true! I only have three people to buy for though and it's all done but I like to give gifts that are really thought out.

Okay, well, she likes animals and zoos. so, I got her a weekend away at a zoo with like hotels at the zoo. And we've fed the big cats before and we adored that, I remember we wrestled with tiger cubs while mamma tiger is too busy eating. so I got that again too but with more animals. Hehe. I kinda forgot about it but I also have it as a reminder in my phone for New Year's Day.

 

We use Amazon alot so we are on Amazon Prime and can get most things with the shipping taken care of through that.

Lately I have been thinking more and more about figuring out a way to make money with my writing. No idea how I would go about that at this point, but I have pretty strong writing skills and I think that I'm good enough to get paid...

 

How to do that depends on what you want to write...

 

It doesn't even really matter at this point. I'm not sure. I don't have much experience with any sort of creative writing, but it is something that I hope to work on in the new year when I have some more time. My academic writing is strong, but I don't think that academia is for me (not at this point in my life, anyway). Maybe journalism... although I don't think that would be a very good career choice in terms of job security...

Eggon... sorry to hear about the RA. I've fought that a time or two in my life, too. The one thing I can do to send it packing is something I hate doing. Lifting weights. The micro tears that occur in your muscles in order to build new muscle seems to give the immune system something to think about other than attacking me. My sister takes that Humira stuff. Yikes. Lots of side effects to that.. so I've never taken any of that class of drugs. Steroids are almost as bad for me. So.. it's get off all red meats unless pasture organic type raised.. limit alcohol.. and lift frikken' weights until the pain goes away and my immune system settles down.

It's worked for me for a very long time, though. It's been years since I had a bad RA episode.

Ooh.. we also raise a good bit of our own food so my exposure to icky chemicals is way less than city folks. That probably has something to do with it, too.

 

Just set a word count goal for the day egg. Like no matter what you have to type 1000 words just to get the mind flowing.

Here's a question for my fav hooligans. A cheater will likely cheat again?? Whatcha think? Not gonna make this a separate topic because I don't care what the rest of the forum thinks. The people I like hang out here in the random threads. Forgive and forget doesn't mean that one necessarily allows a bastidge back into their life, right?

 

I think that without undergoing some pretty big life changes or perspective changes, then yes, a cheater will often cheat again. Forgiving doesn't have to mean taking someone back.
