I think Jesus says it best: "These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me."

Jesus knows your heart and knows if you are a TRUE Believer or not.

    2 Peter 3: 3,4,5,6,7.
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lust,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Whereby the world that was, being overflowed with water, perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men.

The Bible states that God is the beginning and the ending of all things. It also states that one day to God is a thousand years for man. Christ was raised on the third day, God states that He will raise those who love Him on the third day.
Christ was put to death in the year 33 A.D. Gods third day will begin in the year 2034.

yet the mayans think the world will end in 2012... the next pope (and this one is supposably supposed to die soon) is the Anti-Christ...

Doesn't hold much hope for the Thrid Day to arise then.

The standard King James will do. It mirrors the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The Mayans are not the Prophets of God, and since the prophecies of God must be 100% without error I would not put to much stock in the Mayan prophecies if you can call them that. The only reason some believe that in 2012 the world would end, is because thats when the Mayan calendar ends. I have a calendar that ends in 2006, but I don't believe the world will end because of that.

Im not just talking about one source, but many sources both friend and foe of the faith. Historical writings still exist. Even those who hated Christians speak of Christ not to lift Him up. Yet even in their hatred of Him, the truth comes out. These claims are easy to back up, if your really intrested.

Thats true, most believe He was born around 6-4 B.C. and that He was age 33 when He died. Which would put the third day at 2027 or 2029. I would also point out that in the N.T. it states that when Israel becomes a nation, that the generation that was alive or born at that time, would not pass away until all Bible prophecies would be fulfilled. So if Christ return was around 2027 or 2029, that would mean the generation of people that was born in 1948 the year Israel became a nation, would be about 79, or 81 years old. It uncanny that two books written in two different time periods, could bring the numbers so close together by chance, considering both books O.T. and N.T. were written thousands of years old.

so if by 2029 jesus hasnt come christians will admit defeat?
you are contradicting your faith by placing so much importance on predicting when christ will come

I'm not talking about scripture. There is extra non biblical letters and text that exist today from that time period. These letters speak of Christ, and they fall outside of the Bible. These letters which come from sources often hostile towards Christ, proves He was a real historical person, and not a myth.

Jesus said blessed are those who read and understand this prophecy. I'm not contradicting Christ at all. What are talking about? Jesus said, blessed are they who look for my coming. And if you even had a clue as to what the Bible was about, you would of understood that.
