its contradiction because you have FAITH that he will come, yet your doing your little addition problems trying to guess exactly when you can expect him.

but yes what would happen if in 100 years christ still hasnt returned?

or if he did but was killed in some conflict somewhere and no one knew?

    if the armageddon never happens?

i guess only time will tell

I didn't ask which version of the Bible. I asked which author. There are several different proven authors of the Gospels alone.

Time is short but let me make this one point, you said Israel did not take Jerusalem second. Lets see now the Jews took south Israel in 1948 and they took Jerusalem in 1967. according to my math, Jerusalem was taken second. just like zec. chapter 12 stated. HOW DO YOU FIGURE YOUR MATH?

It's not even *that* close. It was probably more like 28 AD

Simply put, Jesus says HE will return before the generation of that the Jews return (1948) dies off. However, there is also a co-prophecy that goes along with the the Jew's returning to Israel prophecy. It is called the Third Day.....

With only a few realizing it, the world will soon be entering the third day of God. In the Old Testament in the book of Hosea, there is a key verse often overlooked. It states, "After two days He will revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight" (Hosea 6:2). Before Christ rescues His people from the planet, the Bible says He will resurrect the bodies of His servants that died in the past. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). After Christ died, He was resurrected on the third day. According to Hosea 6:2, God will call the dead in Christ from out of their graves on the third day. Christ then will rescue His people that are alive on earth. Now, here is where things start to get interesting. The Bible gives us two time references speaking of this event. These two references are found in the Old and the New Testaments and are totally independent of each other. Yet, both of these references appear to converge at the same time in the future. However, God's two days are not 24-hour days. God's days are much longer than ours as explained in II Peter 3:8, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." To illustrate, Christ was resurrected in the year 33 A.D. If the passage of 2000 years equals two days in God's time, then the end of the two days will be in the year 2033. The third day thus will start in the year 2034. Although 2034 may or may not be the exact year Christ returns, His coming must be very close. For you see, the generation that was born in the year 1948 will be 86 years old in 2034. It was Jesus who said in Matthew 24:34 that this generation would not pass away until all end-time prophecies would be fulfilled.

Yeah I guess it does takes a little math.... hope it's not to much for you to handle...

Don't you see? Evidence is only allowed when it supports your own view. Contrary evidence is all bogus, because faith is first. Science and evidence are good when they prove your point, bad when they don't. It's quite a complex game, isn't this fun???

i wouldnt call any of that evidence... 1 day is 1000 years to God? what is this nonsense? Why should God's time be any different, and how would we know? besides, even if it were true, im sure it wouldnt be as simple as 1 day = 1000 god years.

Hmmm I don't know let's see.... The God's word (The Bible) ..... I gave the verses.... which you totally overlooked probably because you don't even believe that the Bible is the word of God and not of men in the first place!

Do you even read the posts other people make?

In 1948, the Jews declared the nation of Israel, taking X territory.

Months later, they took 26% of the British Mandate territory. That is what they acquired second.

In 1957, they got the right to traverse the Strait of Tiran. That is what they acquired third.

In 1967, the FOURTH acquisition consisted of the Golan Heights, the Sinai peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and all of Jerusalem including the Old City.

So once the baby boomers all die without the return of the Messiah, Christianity will kick the bucket? Or will you simply find a new way to "literally" interpret the Bible?

Don't expect someone who ignores God to pay attention to his brothers.

i really am looking forward to 2029. Youd think that the inventors of Christianity would have schemed more carefully and set the second coming of christ much further in the future, but hey, whatever i dont care =)

Well lets not put an exact year on it but yes around that year.....

And I would say everything is going right on schedule....

Unique among all books ever written, the Bible accurately foretells specific events--in detail--many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur. Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter--no errors. (The remaining 500 or so reach into the future and may be seen unfolding as days go by.) Since the probability for any one of these prophecies having been fulfilled by chance averages less than one in ten (figured very conservatively) and since the prophecies are for the most part independent of one another, the odds for all these prophecies having been fulfilled by chance without error is less than one in 10^2000 (that is 1 with 2000 zeros written after it)!

HAVE YOU EVER TRIED READING YOUR BIBLE. SIMPLY PUT, GOD STATED THAT BEFORE THE JEWS RETAKE JERUSALEM THEY WOULD FIRST RETAKE SOUTH ISRAEL. WHICH THEY DID. JERUSALEM WOULD BE TAKEN AFTER SOUTH ISRAEL. THE TWO PLACES IN QUESTION WAS JERUSALEM, AND SOUTH ISRAEL. THERE WAS NO LIST OF AREAS IN BETWEEN BECAUSE GOD'S CONCERN WAS SOUTH ISRAEL, WHICH WAS CALLED JUDAH, AND JERUSALEM. THATS ALL HE WAS POINTING OUT, BECAUSE THOSE WERE THE AREAS THE TEXT ADRESSED. UNLESS YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE BIBLE, YOU WILL ONLY FORMULATE ARGUMENTS THAT DO NOT APPLY.

ZECHARIAH 12:7 THE LORD SHALL SAVE THE TENTS OF JUDAH FIRST, (1948) THAT THE GLORY OF THE HOUSE OF DAVID AND THE GLORY OF THE INHABITANTS OF JERUSALEM (1967) DO NOT MAGNIFY THEMSELVES AGAINST JUDAH.

No, 'God' didn't concern himself with the other areas because the people who wrote the Bible had no idea how things were going to come about. You're just agitated because you've been proved wrong. Again.
