Since this is the Biden thread, does anyone have anything positive to say about him? Or am I asking for too much?
Yeah, it did seem to get hijacked. How about this - Biden put someone over qualified into the supreme court, despite their desperate attempt do pin bullshit on her like supporting pedophilia. Did we forget the frat party date rape boy and the over religious whack job that Trump shoved in, appointed for LIFE ??? Oh, another thing that Biden did - or did not, rather, was to make a total ass of himself on twitter today....oh and he hasn't fired any of his cabinet ether - nor has he placed any of his rich cronies in office. Let's begin with just domestic policy, accomplished with zero cooperation or support from the republican party: Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, providing over $1.2 trillion in infrastructure spending in every state in the country >>>Trump wouldn't pass any infrastructure bill that wouldn't piss money away on a useless border wall Biden enacted an action plan to alleviate supply chain problems at ports and waterways >>>>"oh, the poor people cannot get the things they need? Why not send out the butler? Biden negotiated an agreement to open California ports to 24-7 operation to alleviate supply chain bottlenecks >>>>"those union slackers" Biden issued comprehensive guidelines for military and veteran suicide prevention strategies >>>>"what a bunch of pussies, I had bone spurs" Biden signed a law providing a cost-of-living adjustment for veterans disability benefits >>>>"those veteran slackers, I had bone spurs" Biden signed the K-12 Cybersecurity Act which protects sensitive information maintained by schools across the country >>>>"Democratic cover for their pedophilia and child blood draining operations" Biden signed a law preventing the Federal Elections Commission from approving equipment posing a risk to national security >>>>More coverup of stealing the election...... Biden declassified previously secret 9/11 documents. >>>>More to disparage spending more on investigating Clinton's blowjob than the 9/11 demolition Biden directed Treasury and HUD to implement policies to increase the supply of affordable housing. >>>>"Those slacker poor people, I have to share my house with servants and a slew of federal funded employees" Biden signed legislation that provided Congressional Gold Medal to the Harlem Hellfighters, the Black soldiers who served in World War 1 >>>>"I gave medals to golfers and really great guys like Rush" Biden restarted posting White House visitor logs after Donald Trump had stopped doing so >>>"More democrats hiding in the open" Biden ordered multiple agencies to enact policies that will increase the supply of affordable of homes in America >>>>"Those slacker poor people, can't they just pay cash???" Biden signed a law expanding access for veterans to therapy dogs and service dogs >>>"Those slacker veterans, I have bone spurs and hate dogs" Biden cancelled student loan debt for more than 300,000 Americans with severe disabilities (over $5.8 billion worth of debt) >>>Those slacker disabled students, daddy paid for my college and legal defenses" Biden increased food stamp benefits by 25% to directly help needy families >>>Those slacker poor hungry people, what will they want next, medicine??? Biden canceled $55.6 million in student debt for students of for-profit schools >>>Trump university would never never mislead stoodunts Biden has the narrowest pay gap between women and men in the White House of any president >>>Need I continue????
I think one of his faults is to not be more public about flaunting his accomplishments. Well, I just finished up my middle class sized tax return. Boy, those Trumph tax cuts saved me about a negative $2000 this year. Still waiting for that trickling down from above that isn't warm and yellow. I've grossed about the same as 20 years ago and pay far more tax now. Well, Warren Buffet, enjoy my money to add to your selfish unspendable pile.
No, Two, you provided a very impressive recap. I certainly appreciate that info, and the time you put into it. Well done!
Let's not forget, also....oh it goes on and on. The Biden administration released rules that protect patients from unexpected medical bills. Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered a halt on federal death penalty executions. Biden signed the American Rescue Plan (aka COVID-19 Stimulus) providing $1.9 trillion of relief to the American economy Biden signed an executive order to make the Department of Justice work on reducing the use of “ghost guns” Biden signed an executive order expanding access to legal representation for the poor. Biden (and Vice President Kamala Harris) released their 2021 tax returns, after Trump refused to release his for his entire four-year term.<<<<<WHAAAATTTT????? Biden ordered the Department of Justice to produce a rule clarifying when a device marketed as a gun brace turns a pistol effectively into a short-barreled rifle Biden told the Department of Justice to produce model “red flag” legislation for all 50 states so that they could enact such laws against gun violence Biden increased the minimum wage for thousands of federal contractors to $15/hr Stimulus payments from the American Rescue Plan were sent via direct deposit just 24 hours after the plan was signed into law Biden directed $2.5 billion in funding to specifically address America’s mental illness and addiction crisis American Rescue Plan extended a 15% increase to SNAP funding, helping children who qualify for free lunch The American Rescue Plan restores funding to veterans programs, including programs to assist veterans’ mental health, that had been cut under Trump The American Rescue Plan adds boosted funding to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), providing new options for people who need health insurance and lowering costs for people already insured.
Whew, I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to dump this barrel of Dioxin and PCBs in the river near by.
I don’t understand why they would vote against this bill. I think they need to investigate if there’s any interest parties involved, paying these judges off. After all this shit with Clarence Thomas’ wife, they probably need to take a closer look behind the scenes of what’s going into the pockets and bank accounts of the SCOTUS judges…..
It makes no sense. The decision strayed so far from 50 years of established law, the only possible reason is the majority decided to support Trump's view of the EPA over established law, i.e. it was entirely politically motivated Even Chief Justice John Roberts was appalled
"...there is such a “glaring disconnect between reality and how the press depicts White House accomplishments” that it seems the press is “determined to keep Biden pinned down...only 28% of Americans know the country has been gaining jobs in the last year—7 million jobs, in fact—while 37% think the country has lost jobs. Under Biden, the U.S. has added more than 400,000 jobs a month for 11 months, the longest period of job growth since at least 1939. And yet,...on the day the latest job report was released, cable news used the word “inflation” as many times as “jobs.” On Sunday, NBC’s “Meet the Press” ignored the economy and instead featured conversations about two problems for the Democrats in the midterms: immigration and Trump." It doesn't matter what Biden does. We have become so Balkanized that we have two separate and distinct sources of "news"; Fox et al., and the MSM, which panders shamelessly to their corporate shareholders, who have clearly decided that an authoritarian kleptocratic kakistocracy is preferable to democracy to best maximize their profits. Expect to hear nothing but crickets from the big networks regarding Biden's accomplishments, much less any pushback against Fox News outright lies. Heather Cox Richardson April 11, 2022
Bull shyte at bare minimum does keep the system running. Stability is the product and cheesy promises with lackluster performance is the price tag.
You did notice the transition metals on Bo's shirt? Seems to me that the very basis of inflation is the pandemic, shortages, and mostly, the gouging of world for oil which effects everything. I never believed the numbers during the Trump administration - prices went far higher than the 1-2% they touted, along with the unemployment - that was far higher, plus they didn't count those that fell off the unemployment rolls. If you ran through your 'benefits' and no longer qualified, you were taken out of the unemployment numbers.
