I just wrote a nice long e-mail to my MP about the new crime bill that Harper is trying to introduce:

Among other things this bill proposes that there is a mandatory sentence of 6 months for growing even 1 plant, with another year added on if you are near a school and another year if you are growing in a residential neighbourhood.

On top of that edibles or making hash would be a minimum of a year in prison.

You guys think I should be giving my MP a call if I want to have any sort of small effect at all? Or will they treat an e-mail approximately the same way?

fuck yeah! Boats and Bluegrass this weekend! Actually starts tomorrow! The restaurant i work at is gonna have a vendor at the festival and that vendor will be me!... $10/hr cash in pocket + tips... plus free beer (owners wont know bout that one lol).. and basically get to run it myself so i can sit and toke and serve chili and beer all day long.. get done at 1am and get wasted!
