the store I stopped at had no elysian pumpkin beers. I was a disappointed, the clerk said that some of them were good and some were bad. I forget which she said were good and which were bad.

on to southern tier harvest, it tastes eerily similar to eviltwins yang. well a lighter version of yang. same maltyness with less hoppyness. funny because it says on the bottle that there is 4 hops and 2 malts it smells more hoppy but the taste is definitely more malty. they mix the two better than most that attempt a complex mix between malts and hops. it is much better than I expected and I am almost wishing it was sold locally.

Lol, no worries... I'm loving all the reviews!
Plus, it's much better than if I were the only one posting in here.
(I already get that experience at another forum that's barely active at all.)

I'm not surprised that the Southern Tier is good, they're one of the consistently good breweries.
I've never been disappointed by them.

Not sure if I'll get to the moonshine tonight, but reading all these reviews have me drooling for a drink. :)

as soon as I saw them sneak between the fence I knew I saw it before and remembered everyone got blown up but I couldn't remember what it was for...I would call that bad advertising despite being a good video.
just had elysian's the immortal ipa but I forget what it tastes like. I was making a vlog for some friends and was just drinking while editing and all. it was ok..nothing special but I had no complaints. I remember thinking it was malty for an ipa.
now I am drinking 21st amendment brewery's fireside chat.it also has a cheap stale beer smell but is good tasting. not nearly as bad a smell and the taste is like a nice brown ale. if they could make it smell like it tastes I would buy it often. this is a strange phenomena to me, I never had a beer that tastes nothing like it smells until now and now there are 2 of them. and when I say that I mean they taste NOTHING like they smell. this is wear I always liked giving a number score because I can tell you it smells bad and I can tell you it taste good but that dosnt tell you how much I really like it. if I say its a 6 out of 10 then you know the smell is bad but hey it still is an above average beer. but damn I have never smelled anything like that today, maybe I am getting old shit or maybe I have not tasted enough beers recently. I cant recommend it though, I could to someone with a bad sense of smell but to them they would likely like Budweiser as much as this.

There's a good chance that beer was too old, since it's a winter brew and as far as I know, winter brews aren't out yet.
Which means that beer would be at least several months old.
A lot of reviews mention how good it smells, which just makes me think you definitely had something from last years batch.

On a side note, there's a good chance I won't have any new reviews tonight.
I'll probably drink some beer instead of moonshine, but they're ones I've already had/reviewed.
I'm dying to try the moonshine, but I also am trying to get a blog going and swigging back 100 proof moonshine probably won't help me get all that figured out... lol

So yeah... drinking my last Backseat Berner at the moment.
Well, drinking my last few sips of it to be honest.
Then it's on to the Hipp-O-Lantern (I have 2 left).

Hopefully I'll remain sober enough, long enough, to work on blog stuff.

(Why the fuck is it so impossible to find a pre-set theme that has two independent columns???)

Which Sierra Nevada?

And yes, it's a pumpkin beer... just really light on the pumpkin taste.
Not a bad beer, but not great at being a pumpkin beer.

Trying a Roy pitz best blonde. It tastes just like a high quality shock top.

Yeah I meant the regular orange one. The rest of the beers shock top makes are weird concoctions that try to taste like something other than wheat beers but they make a point to still call them that.

Shock Top strikes me as somewhere between Budweiser and Sam Adams.
Or, better put, in the same category as Blue Moon.

Also, I'm almost out of beer.

And it's too late to start drinking moonshine.

I'm sure I can find something to keep the night going for a little bit.

Ah... yes... there we go. :)

Drinking a Roy pits daddyfatstacks

I have 2 Roy pitz left but they are all seeming to be light and hoppy.

Maybe I shouldn't but I am drinking a Roy pitz honeysucker pils. It's a honey lager. And it has a sweetness that I would not think of as honey but it's an above average lager. True to the brewery there is a slight hoppiness to it.

Sounds like I should try out the Honeysucker.
I like a unique drink here and there. :)

Not sure when I'm drinking next though, RL is all whacked out right now.

I’m looking forward to trying this new beer available in October – love that dirty water?

BOSTON —Boston-based Harpoon Brewery is using water from the Charles River to brew a new batch of beer.

The river's water for decades was considered so dirty that it was dangerous to consume, but that was before years of cleanup efforts.
Besides, the 300 gallons of water drawn from the river to make a limited 18-keg batch of Charles River Pale Ale has gone through a purification process done by Newton-based Desalitech.

Reminds me of the episode of brew dogs. Jim Koch and the brew dog guys bathed in a pool of fruit to make a sour.
