Just saw it again today.. Not in a singles section. Went with flying fish blueberry whatever exit beer instead. Maybe it slid under the car seat...i should check again.
And now for the next ----. This ----- has an interesting ------. So, let's --- it! ----#2: (Alc. 8.5%) (Westbrook - Citrus Redacted) Smells: Citrus with a touch of stone fruit, then... a slightness of raisin? The biscuit body carries a bit of hay. Tastes: Pleasantly funky hay presents strong upon the biscuit body. A citrus base coat lends itself throughout, with barely pithy moments. Overall, this is weird. I expected a strong citrus profile, instead I'm getting strong hay. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just unexpected when.. well, you can see the pic of the can. On the other hand, the "redacted" part of the name does lend itself to a hidden citrus profile, which does work in this case.
Oh! I REALLY would love to know how that Exit 3 brew fares! I keep seeing it and keep thinking about it, but never grab it. I also keep waiting for them to get around to an exit that I'm more familiar with.
Ok, finally got my revview done for the last beer! Yay me! Beer #3: (Alc. 8.9%) (Conshohocken - Island in the Sun) Smellin: Citrus with a small stone fruit sidecar. Hazy, sweet pineapple. A grainy, biscuit body brings hides the far distant pith. Tastin: Summer hay sets the stage for distant pineapple notes, caressing whispers of stone fruit forward upon a firm biscuit backbone. Smooth, creamy and delightful. Overallin, this motherfucker has an extremely thick head. Yes, thick enough that it HAD to be mentioned first. Other than that, this is a really pleasant ale. Creamy, thickish... weaker on citrus than expected, but still really nice. However you describe the minutiae of the taste, it's worth the imbibement. And the pic... er, pics:
Also... I don't think I've posted this before, so.. Press play motherfuckerz. Now. Play., Press it. (This shit is catchier than you'l know until you stop listening.)
Just made a new count. I have 102 growlers from breweries I visited. 125 total different growlers with a design on them. Fuck the breweries that don' sell growlers.
I had a couple of beers last night, Brewery 85 Yeoman's Brown, its a local brew and always solid. And New Belgium's Mural, which is a boozy take on the nonalcoholic Mexican drink Agua Fresca. I wanted to like it, I like the concept, but it didnt click with me. If i were better at beer reviews I could probably explain why
Great day of beer drinking for me yesterday. Was drinking stuff from Other Half, Tree House, The Veil, and Trillium. Started drinking around noon, and was done (as in knocked out) by 9. Mind you I had been up a full 24 hours at this point.
Oi! Dude! I just saw that Grimm is opening there own brewstaurant!! Like, if I remember correctly, it opened today. And they're sticking with the "no flagship beer" concept that they've had all along. Some day, I'm gonna have to get out to that motherfuckin piece of heaven!
