And then we were on the last beer of the night. (probably) So, let's do it, yeah? yeah Beer #3: (Alc. 11.5%) (Evil Twin - Imperial Biscotti Chili Hazelnut Break) Smells: Wait wut? Dark Chocolate, coffee grounds, bits of vanilla, and a sprinkling of chili? On a sweet malty base with that familiar raisin bent? Tastes: Smooth entrance by coffee grounds and bitter dark chocolate. Then moves on to sweet mal... no, wait, a moment of chili heat. With everything rounded to pleasing degrees. Overalls, I expected this brew to be more heavy handed than it is. Don't get me wrong... it's not as easy as a peach milkshake beer, but in the world of coffee/chocolate stouts, this is a nice smooth brew with wonderful chili heat that's one of the few welcome lingerers in the world! Really much more smooth/drinkable than many stouts. ... I didn't find a pic for this quick enough. It's up to you now. Hot pics are your quest. Don't fucking disappoint me.
^^^^^.... Having Trouble With A "Visual" Of "KF" Wearing A "Pink Tutu"........But....... I Respect His Wish To Do So...... Cheers Glen.
I'm about to make regular coffee, but damn does quarantine coffee sound perfect! Of course, I'm also considering making "Quarantine Punch" and mixing some stuff together that I have. Probably Malibu rum, tequila, mango juice, and a little grenadine. Maybe with some wine thrown in at some point. Stay safe and healthy everyone!!
Hey boys, girls, and everyone... how's things? Y'all doing ok? Staying healthy and safe? I sure hope so! It's gotten pretty desolate here since the quarantine went into effect, since I barely make my way to a liquor store these days. But I wanted to stop in and wave at everyone. And drop off a tune to enjoy. I found out about this band while listening to SiriusXMU and quickly fell in love with them. Check it out.
I haven't had this in a long long time: Unfortunately, I still have the second can to deal with. This is seriously bad as beers go. Weak, bitter, hint of chemical taste and oddly heavy. I was tempted to add lime juice to try to fool myself into thinking it was Mexican beer that had been sitting in the sun all afternoon. Had a few sips cold. Then I tried it warm (from the same can). No difference. Their lager is not bad, but this Ale impersonation fails.
It's Australian for "what the hell was that, mate?" Sorry to hear it's not as drinkable as their lager. And hey, if you leave the can sitting around long enough, you can justify throwing it away when it gets too old! (Yes, I've done this, lol.) I'm hoping to have some beers this weekend, but it's hard to say. I may also just chill out and play Levelhead, getting back to making the level I started working on a couple days ago. What's Levelhead you ask? Well, check out this trailer video and find out!
It's probably good for septic tank bacteria and enzymes! I use diet coke in the toilet when it goes flat. Diet coke does not support life.
So I grabbed one from the lower shelf at McGreedy's Liquor Emporium and Non-Public Bathroom...... It's what I needed after that Australian crap. However, it's not one I'll buy again. Kinda basic and rough. Anyway, it's Baltic, that's the name. One of the few words in Russian that doesn't look like Kaopectate!
Wel, if you're trying to find something that's not rough or lame... almost anything by Eviltwin should do ya good. I've found them to be consistently one of my favorites breweries.
HEY THERE! How y'all doing? Everyone hanging in there? I sure hope so!! I've got some new beers, which is obvious... but I'm kind of anxious and excited. Because... none of them are from breweries that are in my regular rotations. But they got some great labels! (And they're all IPAs.) So, let's get to it! Beer #1: (Alc. 8.2%) (Connecticut Valley Brewing Co. - Sherwood) Smell: Nectarine with some peach and grapefruit with a pine background. Taste: Juicy nectarine and peach lead into subtle grapefruit with softly dry pine growing into a gently warm outro. Overall, it's fairly juicy and the bitter notes from the grapefruit are subtle, just as the dry notes are from the pine. Very well balanced brew that has gotten better as I make my way down the glass! (And according to the company, part of what I'm tasting should be papaya... so, it may relate differently to those with different palates.) .. So, I went looking for a pic and found out this beer isn't about Robin Hood at all! It's based on a state park in Connecticut! I'm not finding anything great for Connecticut state parks though. So... I guess I could just go with Sherwood Forest. That's just as good... right?
