    Elysian split shot.
    Half espresso half milk stout.
Abv is 6% so I guess that half espresso is half espresso beer.
This one is good. And a bargain for the quality at $9.
This is one of those that when there is a couple sips left you say "where the hell did it go?"
My last one. Only have one good beer left. I will save it for tonight.

It's a milk stout that is brewed with espresso, I think. I doubt it's a blended beer.

Rarest beer I have had in a year and a few months.

Evolution craft brewery's southern pecan pie imperial brown ale.

I don't know what to make of it. It's very complex.
It's an ale brewed with brown sugar and maple syrup with pecans added. 10%abv.

Strong alcohol taste but overall really not any strong tastes. That is..that the tastes I get the alcohol is one of the strongest despite not being strong overall.
Not getting any pecan. They might have been a waste unless they are adding something I'm not getting.
The maple and brown sugar portion just makes me think of brown sugar that got fermented.
Overall a B. Might have been slightly higher if not for the price.

So I am between 1/4 and 1/3 left and every taste is different...but every one is pretty consistent with what I said. Last few sips were lower on the alcohol but still light on advertised flavors.
Smell is the same. Slight alcohol scent but equal brown sugar scent.

Yeah this one is all over the place but it fits the beer.

    Now drinking Sugarmaker from Grimm.

This is an imperial milk stout brewed with vanilla and maple syrup.

    11.5% ABV

    Bottled February 2017.

Pours an opaque dark brown to black color.

Aroma is of sweet chocolate malts, some smokey notes, maple, vanilla, milk chocolate and some dark fruits.

Flavor is of sweet and roasted chocolate malts, vanilla, bittersweet dark chocolate, milk chocolate, maple syrup, and a charred bitterness.

Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with a medium body,

Overall an incredible milk stout from Grimm, with a well hidden 11.5% ABV that sneaks up on you.

    Now drinking Candlepower by Grimm.

This is a farmhouse ale brewed with sage and pink peppercorns.

    8% ABV.

Pours a gold color with a fast dissipating head.

Aroma is very spice-dominant. I am getting a prominent ginger aroma, most likely from the sage and peppercorns. I am not getting much else in the nose of this beer, with the exception of perhaps some vague malt sweetness.

The flavor of this beer, like the nose, is spicy, with the sage and peppercorn shining through in a big way. This is coupled with a slight Belgian farmhouse funk.

This beer is light and rather thin-bodied with a rather effervescent carbonation.

    Overall rating: B+

Sorry guys... it's been almost 2 weeks since my last drinkening!
But I'm here now to share some shit with y'all.
(Also catching up on the last couple pages. It's possible I'll hit beer #2 before I get caught up.) :D

First, I have a let down of a beer.
Maybe someone here can tell me if I got a bad bottle...

It's my first of the night...
    (Alc. 5.5%)

That Smell: Um... smells like... beer. With a hint of chocolate. And a wisp of cracker in the background rolling around with the citrus.

That Taste: Chocolaty up front, slightly bitter. And that cracker is still in the back.

Overall, I think I may have gotten an old bottle. There's like, no carbonation... even when you can get some head on the thing. It's like if I had a glass of water, but poured this beer in for the last 1/4 glass.
In other words, I don't have a firm up/down on this one.
